This is very beautiful. The dreaminess of the lines was consistent throughout the whole poem. I loved reading it. I especially loved the fourth stanza. The images are so compelling and so beautiful. A splendid job, and I'm sure this will do well in the contest, though I haven't read them all yet, MM

Angels are definitely people that you love or have loved. Angels are people who have passed away and you feel their present spiritually. I like your poem; it displays peace in a special way.

Your poem, more than all the other entries, lulled me into that "never-land" of dreams where all things are possible and our hearts are free to soar. Your abab rhyme scheme is consistent and unforced.
If I had any suggestion it would be:
"I sense that loving will soon be,"
could be
I sense that loving soon will be
(It's purely a matter of flow, to me ~ but in all cases I bow to the poet's finest sense!)
You get my vote.

Oh my, how romantic, and so evocative -- you paint beautiful pictures in the mind with this lovely fantasy poem. I loved every word, but those last two stanzas are my favorite.

Usually you write of being haunted by dark things at night, so this is a switch for you. I like, "her light is like a gentle gleam that strokes the beauty of my art", as it says that light and goodness are influencing your words.
The line "they guard our fight from high above" - do you mean to say "flight"?
