Now I have to wait for Cord to propose. You are such an excellent writer, and I do enjoy the product of your talent a great deal. I know I write the same things over and over, but just how many ways can one sing your praises? Shirley

Some days I get in the mood to read longer works. It helps me to better understand the process of writing with continuation. I find rewards in short flash prose because of comfort. I don`t know that I could write of length without some kind of outline and I haven`t found the discipline to do that.

So, now you really have us hooked thinking about when Cordero will propose to Alexandra. LOL. Allen is out of the way for good, we all hope. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the kind review. Maybe I should have Allan escape from prison and kidnap Ali. I hadn't thought of that. Hmmm

LOL! I can't picture that idea coming from such a sweetheart of a lady, but it's an attention getter. :-)

"Son, while you were IN New York City . .. ." add "in"

I like that we got to spend some time with Ali's family in this chapter. And I hope she ends up staying on the ranch - there are law firms everywhere.

As always, lots of great dialogue that moves and tells the story.

I still feel an underlying current of danger here - or it's my imagination.

Nope the danger is still there, just a little different. Thank you for the kind review and the catch. I have a bad habit of leaving out those little words.

Oooh the ring picture certainly had me wondering if this was question time! Suspense for a little longer! Another great instalment with the court case wrapped up and finally seems there is some peace for Ali. I like the focus on the horse Jewel and her role in saving Ali. I'd love to see how this connection continues to play out. I spotted a few typos or missed words as I went if it's helpful for me to say where they were let me know and I'll go back through and work out which lines they were in, just very minor things.

This romantic novel places a good stand of romantic point in this chapter; I have enjoyed the read, good plot development with modest speed and flow; passion and decision and activation rightly expressed; well said; ALCREATOR LITT DEAR

Oh, so close. I thought this was going to be the chapter for the proposal, but I can understand your reason for holding off on it. She has to "listen to her heart and realize that corporate law is not for her, but farm life is!

And while we're on the subject of listening to her heart:

"She's not used to her listening to her heart." [If I understand the context, shouldn't it just be, "She's not used to listening to her heart."?]

Another fine chapter, Barbara!

The words in your chapter are wonderful and exciting. I wonder if Alexandra will accept Cord's proposal. We will wait until the next chapter to find out.

Meaty post--no apology necessary--you nailed the dialog-- love the courtroom scene! Consecutive sentences--no parole--YES!

I don't see Lisa in the character list. I infer that Pat Rogers is the father of her child.

Good, informative chapter which brought Cordero and Alexandra closer.

One typo:

Cordero helped Alexandra so she could hug, Joseph, Brent, (and) George.

See you next chapter. John
