Like your poem. Your poem is very seasonal, winter scenery, with windowpanes of frosted crystals; then springs arrives and turns the white stuff into green grass. Sounds wonderful.

This is so well written! I enjoyed the expert end rhymes the imagery you used, words choices such as "siege of Winter" - simply stunning! I enjoyed the subtle change in repetition at the end of each stanza. This poem evoked the senses! I could feel the warmth of blazing hearth and weight of the wooden clothes and see the fields of green. Truly enjoyable!!

I like the style of each stanza with three lines rhyming and the near repetition of the last line. Alliteration with bundled and blazing, siege and soon, frosted and fields.
'Siege' brings to mind the image of war. To me that is what snow and frost mean!

Paul, this is a very nice poem and is written with excellent imagery and flow. I do like the way the words roll out of my mouth when I read them aloud.

I am a bit amused; however, here in my condo with no hearth, I sit on my 4th-floor balcony in Texas in a t-shirt and shorts, basking in 80-degree days. It will most likely change, but still...Good job. Terry.
