I FORGIVE YOU!!! Aw, I wish I'd saved the six for this one... No, they both deserved a six. I checked and saw you have a lot for this one. It was one of those stories, that love truly does conquer all. It never wavers, but it sometimes wiggles. Ric and Lori were made for each other. I really enjoyed this story, it got me so worked up, and angry, they happy, I was on a rollercoaster of emotions! Well done, my friend. Fabulous story. xxxxx Sandra xxxx

Yes, I do believe those last four lines are true. Nothing can come between two people who really love each other. This was a good story about true love and life. There are many of them in the concrete jungle. LOL Well done,Ric. Nancy:)

What? Two chapters back to back? The previous chapter was really long. As I scrolled, my mind kept saying, Neverending Story." LOL
And where does Lori's dad get off talking to Ric like that?

Bed-buddy? Sissy-bitch? [I like both.] This chapter was just as good as the first, but can only afford one six. Great ending, though.

Yes, I couldn't post one of these without the other. Mainly because I wanted to end it at some stopping point and get on to something new. LOL. Both these chapters are too long, just over 2,000 words, which I try to keep between 1,200 and 1,500 most times. The stars are secondary, what's important to me is your time spent reading and, your kind and encouraging reviews. And that you enjoy my scratchings. I appreciate YOU!

I as really upset to see I'd missed part 3 during my deaf, dumb and blind time, with apparantly no easy way of assembling the four parts even if I did have the energy to read it all. But in the end, this is fine for me for now. Certainly enough to sigh in satisfaction over the happiest ending possible - and did I dream it or even a little poem of your own to boot? Very fine. So glad I am near enough back to have been able to read this. Kate xx

Thank you so much, Kate, for your extra special six-star review and kind words. But mostly, I'm just so glad you liked it and it could entertain you for a few minutes. There is no bigger pleasure than be enjoyed by those I choose to read and enjoy regularly. I appreciate YOU!

Yes, I guess you told me in fewer words what happened. The love of your life with a few unhappy interludes. Thirty years is a good run, but it's too bad it wasn't the fairy-tail happily ever after. Still, love is sweet even in small servings. I enjoyed reading this. You need to keep writing. I know I'm alway in for a good story when I see your name pop up.

Omg! You're brilliant! I knew I was going to (six) this before I got halfway through #3. You have such ease, and your confidence just pours all over your paragraphs. You left us not knowing who passed away with (two characters you made us fall in love with), and I find that brilliant all by itself. Loved it, Ric. Love YOU! Best, JohnC

To me, a man of 79 years. Life is a succession of mistakes, lucky breaks, unexpected happiness, followed by unexpected heartbreaks. Births, deaths, getting hired, and getting fired. Falling in and out of love. Just a gamut of incidents, consisting of things you learn, and things you forget. Things you hold on to and things you wish you could forget. Bottom line, life is for the living, bury the dead and celebrate the living.

So Ric and Lori never married. WOW!! I didn't see that coming. This is a very well written story that has all the romance elements. I hate seeing that Ric and Lori never married, but it seemed to work well for them.

Thank you so much, Barbara, for your generous review and kinds words. Yes, they never married. Sadly, it just never worked out for them, or at least I kept it that way to end the story on conflict rather than an all out happy or sad ending. Although, it was somewhat sad, they at least had some time together. I appreciate YOU!
