This poem is beautifully written. The rhyming is perfect but more so the message. Like an artist, your words painted a picture for all to see the wonder of God's hand in that which we accept without giving much thought. This poem causes one to stop and consider what is behind that which we consider normal. A Wonderful salvation message hidden in the beauty of words.

Pen, thank you for your words of encouragement and ope. My prayer for this poem is that someone who hasn't yet made a decision for salvaiton might stop and reconsider their viewpoint of the world. I'd love it if you'd join me in that goal for it. :)
Blessings to you and yours,
Deb

This is beautiful in message, as well as in the aspects of poetry. You expressed well the power of God and even included the reason for salvation. This was a well deserved win.

Thank you so much, Verna . I'm honored by it and just pray that someone reads it who needs that push toward God and Christ... THAT would be the win.
Thank you for reading and for you very kind words.
Blessings,
Deb

Thank you so much, Helen! I love the Proverb that asks that question and based the poem on the Word. That's what makes it a winner, no matter where it is placed in the contest. :)
Thank you again, Helen.
Blessings and hugs,
Deb

Thank you, Joan. I'm truly honored that this poem won. My biggest hope is that others will be curious about God and His salvation plan and dig into the Word because of it.
Thank you again and many blessings,
Deb

Thanks so much, Valda. I agree - we take so much for granted. I guess it's easier that way, but it's sad. We need to see with new eyes each day.
Blessings,
Deb

And when we are finished destroying the planet, Deb, the planet will destroy us, so it can renew itself and begin again. Will humanity survive for the next round? I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
I fully expect that when and if they do, they're going to have to stop the bickering and pull together in order to survive... beginning anew as well.

I'm not sure we agree in our core beliefs, but I agree that we need to get our acts together on the issue of pf the stewardship of of our world. We're doing a pretty horrible job.
Thank you for reading and for the comment!
