Good to see Hank and Emmy playfully getting at each other! It's good that they are headed where they are. Seems like Garth had good reason to worry about Crissy. Someone has her according to the message left to Smythe. Great job with this!

Thank you for taking the time to read and review my chapter. I do appreciate all your support.

Apologies again to all my friends...The 2023 Train barrelled into the New Year filled with an army of stress and sadness for our family again. My daughter's father-in-law's pacemaker stopped, started, stopped, and restarted, and he is presently in Hospice. My son-in-law's stepfather caught Covid on Christmas and is currently still in the ICU with little knowledge of who his family is. My granddaughter attempted the unthinkable and was admitted to a Chicago Juvenile Psych hospital, and the father of my great-granddaughters flipped out and was also involuntarily committed. I couldn't write a story like this and think people would believe it.... unfortunately it's true. And then I have been helping empty my dear cousin's home since her passing. Life is swinging sledgehammers, and I am praying I don't get hit by one of them. My apologies for burdening you with my troubles, but I wanted everyone to know why I sometimes seem to disappear. My head is above water ...just trying to keep everyone else together as well. Sending hugs to everyone who needs one!!!!

So how long will it be before they are a couple? You did an excellent job with this chapter. The dialogue is perfect with your characters. I can't wait to read more. Enjoy your evening. Shirley

I got here too late to catch any little blips...but I chuckled at how many times you had to read that "to" and "admiral" needed tune-ups!

(Giggle)

Hey! You are human!

Nice banter between the lovebirds...

I did wonder about this line:

"Well, lady might be too charitable this morning."

Is this a fun/teasing reference to Emma's pouting?

Otherwise is sounds kind of offensive...

So, Emmy and Hank are called on to ride to the rescue. They know that Terri left a message about a girl on Tucker's phone, but is Tucker also a dishonest cop? Good writing and good buildup to nearing the end. Two things you might consider: . . . own time is (admirable), but . . . Also, Emmy can't see Chief so how does she know he frowns? How about his voice tone becomes more official.

So Emmy and Hank are officially on the case now. Guess they were headed in the right direction to begin with. That's a surprise that Smythe's wife was killed. It could lead to his undoing in a hurry. Good chapter.

An engaging write, with the banter between Hank and Emmy showing the development of their relationship. Yet it will soon be all work as they deal with Tucker and Smythe's criminal activities.

Typos: "admiral" should be "admirable".
"about to homegrown boys" should be "about two homegrown boys".

I'm afraid I caught you again. It should be (two) homegrown boys, not (to). At least this chapter was more fun to read than the previous ones. You do a great job of switching characters and keeping the story on line.

Wyatt Tucker will soon know his fate. He made the mistake of leaving a message on a cell phone. If he had watched any crime movies, he would know you never leave details in a message. After Hank and Emmy meet Garth, arrest Wyatt, rescue Crissy, and figure out the Costello connection, they can focus on finding Lance and Bennie. This story has a lot of interesting places to go, with plots and sub-plots.

Note: we're talking about to homegrown boys. (two homegrown boys)

This is good to here. Hank and Emmy will soon recue the girl. Tucker is about to learn he can't count on Smithe telling him what to do about the girl. I guess You seem to know exactly how to get your character into trouble and also how to get the out.

As Hank are heading in a direction toward the Smokey mountains Emmy receives a call from the chief with information about a deputy Wyatt Tucker, asking what they should do with the girl, of course the Chrissy,, beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy
Typo : On your own time is (admiral) admirable. 2: Talking about (to) homegrown boys. Two?
