This is another excellent chapter. You moved the story along nicely, I look forward to the next chapter. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

I want Wyatt to get his payback so badly now, but I know that would end the suspense. The plot is getting messy, and I love messy! I can't wait for the next, Carol. Love this! Best, JohnC

Glad to hear that the dog will be okay. Now to save Crissy from that monster of a Deputy. He's going to find himself in big trouble in the next chapter I am sure. Well written, and full of suspense.

You've done well with the backstory. This says it all: "I know what you're trying to do and it ain't working." Wyatt released her and let her fall back. "I ain't falling for your tricks." The ending will draw readers back.

Thank you for taking the time to read and review my chapter. I do appreciate all your support.

Apologies again to all my friends...The 2023 Train barrelled into the New Year filled with an army of stress and sadness for our family again. My daughter's father-in-law's pacemaker stopped, started, stopped, and restarted, and he is presently in Hospice. My son-in-law's stepfather caught Covid on Christmas and is currently still in the ICU with little knowledge of who his family is. My granddaughter attempted the unthinkable and was admitted to a Chicago Juvenile Psych hospital, and the father of my great-granddaughters flipped out and was also involuntarily committed. I couldn't write a story like this and think people would believe it.... unfortunately it's true. And then I have been helping empty my dear cousin's home since her passing. Life is swinging sledgehammers, and I am praying I don't get hit by one of them. My apologies for burdening you with my troubles, but I wanted everyone to know why I sometimes seem to disappear. My head is above water ...just trying to keep everyone else together as well. Sending hugs to everyone who needs one!!!!

People seem to move around this county pretty fast. I take it Crissy will not die, otherwise Tucker would have killed her already. I don't remember him taking her cell. Maybe he did, but no one seems that smart.

Wyatt yelled into his cell, "Terry, it's Wyatt. Call me. I've got the girl."

- he left a voice mail? Wow.

Too late, she realized she'd judged his mentality wrong.

- He killed her dog. Kidnapped her and took to a cabin in the woods. Told her no one will ever find her.

I forgot all about the jewels. This is so riveting all I can do is hang onto my chair as I sit at the computer. Your descriptions are so detailed I feel as though I'm watching a movie. I'm glad to hear Brandi will survive. I've read two of your novels, and I think this one is the best. I'll gladly wait on the next chapter. I have to calm down from this one.

And the noose tightens around Wyatt's neck, I hope. Plus, I knew you wouldn't let anything too serious happen to that beautiful dog. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Wyatt is having a bad day, maybe even worse than Crissy's. At least her dog was saved. Your story has a lot of plot twists and no holes as far as I can see, although you have a lot of characters. Best wishes for a wonderful New Year.

It looks like Wyaty's days of a gangster lackie may be numbered, I'd high tale it out of there if I were him. Poor Crissie, I wonder what Wyatt will do with her, and in fact will he be able to get som provisions to her, or will she be clever enough to free herself, well done blessings Roy

Well, I certainly hope this Wyatt won't get away with it. It seems the rope is tightening around his neck, so to speak. Great chapter and I'm glad to hear the dog will be okay. Ulla xx
