This is an excellent chapter. It is a sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat chapter, wondering what comes next. Ido did not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Hmm, I don't understand this chapter. I get why it has to happen, but it's the how.

How did he catch up to Crissy so fast or find her? Why would she just pull off the road in the middle of nowhere, with no one around, after what she found? How did Tucker even see her? How did he sneak up on her and her not hear or see him? Why tell him she was going to call the FBI? What was he supposed to say, "Go right ahead, I'll wait."

Why after he pulled a gun, broke her window, and shot her dog would she not floor it? Why would she still try to talk to him? After all that, why would she imagine he would take her "dog" to a vet; he shot it? I mean she is some form of reporter, right?

In this scene, I began to root for the deputy to kill her, because she is too dumb to deserve life.

"Why wouldn't you help my dog?"
Why would she say this, after what he just told her? Is she the world's dumbest human?

I read the episodes out of order, but your great story always makes its impression on me this is the prequel to Crissy being sidelined and held as a captive in the old cabin in the bush, beautifully written my friend, well done, blessings Roy

Wow! Oh wow! This was intense. It moved so quickly that before I knew it, Brandi was lying on the side of the road. I didn't expect that to happen. What's going to happen to Crissy? Carol, what have you done? Hopefully I'll find out in Chapter 30.

Yep, sometimes we just don't know who the real good guys or bad guys are for sure. So maybe, we'd just better start using something besides a badge to differentiate between them. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, Carol!! What a fantastic chapter! I feel so bad for both Brandie and Crissy! It left me sad, with this weird exhilaration coursing through me. Brilliant writing!! Best, JohnC

A terrifying situation for Crissy! Poor injured Brandi is left alone to fend for herself. Wyatt doesn't belong on the police force any more. He's just making things worse for himself. Great chapter, well written.
Blessings. Carol

You created a great chapter full of fear and action. I hate that the dog was shot. How is Crissy going to get away from the deputy? Have a great afternoon. Shirley

Garth needs to come to the rescue and right now. I know Hank and Emmy are on their way too. Brandi needs help and now, and so does Crissy. I can't wait for the next post. Sending love and prayers.
