Sandra, what a beautiful message. It came across as so loving and caring, and non-lecturing. You have taught this little sis by example and experience. A practice so rarely used anymore. I loved it! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, my friend. Best, JohnC

Thank you, my friend, for your supportive reviews in my first year at FS. The exceptional rating is appreciated too.
Merry🌲 Christmas and continued blessings in 🥂2023!
Comment from Rachelle Allen
This is the kind of older sister every younger child should have, one who paves the way and makes it easier to understand what can be good when life doesn't seem that way. My mentor, Ann, taught me, "Always choose joy." And I think that's why this dialogue-only contest entry you have written here resonates so deeply with me. Beautifully done. May you boogie down to the winner's circle!!

Thank you, Rache, for being my anchor in my low moments and my biggest cheerleader in high moments. The best gift I received in 2022 was becoming your friend. I will act as your big sis, and I think I can count on you to act as my bis sis whenever needed. You are loved and appreciated, dear one. 🥂Happy New Year, friend!

Everyone should have a big sister like this one. She is wise, caring and honest. Your dialog reads well and the message is clearly a good one. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for your review. Happy New Year!
Comment from Pam Lonsdale
The sentences that begin, "Sweetie, homeless . . ." and "You have food, shelter and . . ." could be within one set of quotes instead of two. The reader first thinks the child has begun speaking before they realize it's the adult.
I think this is the first thing I've ever read from you that ISN'T poetry! A nice addition to the submissions for this contest, and wise words for us all:-)
Thanks for sharing and happy new year! May we all be grateful for what we do have in the coming year.
