Yes. I can call this place my second family. I do spend a lot of time here writing, reading and reviewing. I have met many nice people here. They are very kind and helpful. Because of Fanstory, I have publihsed a book of poetry recently.

Wow, I must say this is a great New Year's Poem. You certainly have a way with words and I think you chose the perfect presentation. I would only add the learning aspect to FanStory but I fully understand the friendship aspect.

I was truly touched by your very kind words for my poem, and I almost feel like adding another stanza, since you are so right about the learning aspect. I thought I knew something about poetry when I came, but through the wonderful feedback, I am amazed how much I didn't know. So yes, that is such a big part of why this group of lovely people become like another family. I certainly appreciate your generous gift of six stars, as well. Thanks for sharing greetings. The poem flows well. The rhymes are unforced. The language is warm. The narrative stays on point. I also appreciate that the poem doesn't seem padded. You only included what was necessary.

Happy New Year to you too, Debi! I have my son here with me for the New Year, so I'm happy! I went and picked him up the other day and he's here with me for a couple of weeks, so if nobody hears from me it's because I'm out having fun for a while! :)

Susan, you are so sweet. And treasure that visit from your son, because those times with your loved ones are worth many memories to hold onto when they leave. That is how I try to stay up beat. It could be a lovely review like yours that makes me smile or a visit from one of my kids, but if I am down, I think of that memory and it always helps me feel lifted again.
