Hi June,
This poem describes the hummingbird well. I like the imagery and metaphor in the poem. The active artwork mirrors the words well.
Congratulation on getting an honorable mention in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Enjoy the rest of your day.

What a beautiful and amazing image to pair with your
excellent acrostic, June. I loved reading it. Your words
aptly described the little hummers. Each line added more
info. Even if no image showed, readers would know what
your words fit.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

This is a perfect acrostic poem about one of nature's wonders. Very descriptive, and you've characterized the unique traits of the hummingbird beautifully. It was unforced, and you'd never know it was an acrostic unless you were told. Loved your animated picture too. Well-done!

I really liked your comparison of hummingbirds to fairies--dancing, nimble, iridescent in the sunlight. Think I'll look at hummingbirds differently the next time I see one. Also enjoyed the line, 'luscious nectar dripping from a flower's heart.' Thanks so much for sharing, and good luck in the contest.

This acrostic poem, HUMMINGBIRDS, presented with a vertical, first-letter theme, creates a perfect visual of the "undulating -- nimble -- iridescent -- fairies."

I love the hummingbirds and I miss them in winter. This Is great picture that shows all the movement what hovering in the air. They are like fairies but they dart away quickly. I'm not sure float is a way to describe their departure.
