Either she thought there would not be enough left to give her what she wanted or maybe, surprise, surprise, your trusting her enough to do what you obviously could not to do very well was gift enough .

My daughter buys a lot of things for me so she actually has my card info available to use at her leisure. So far she has exercised restraint.

The wishes of the sons sound believable, too. They were looking at real-life needs. Those credit cards are irresistible.
