Very interesting. What concerns me is how the deputy just happened to be there, at that spot, at that time. Crissy, not dialing 9-1-1, even if she was lost may also need further explaining. That would only be both logical but also instinctive to most Americans at this point.

Good chapter, perfectly written and edited.

Thanks for rattling my thoughts! I guess I assumed (bad choice) that the deputy was out doing early morning rounds... after all it is the country. Sailing high on her recent laurels, Crissy's mind was in a different circle than just calling 911... which most likely would have brought her Deputy Tucker. Her close contact with the FBI who trusted her and solved the last case had her attention more than anything else... besides she was rattled.

Now that was my thoughts... Do you think they cover the story or not? Appreciate your thoughts always.

Yes it became immediately apparent that Deputy Tucker knew more than he was letting on. So where do we go from here, it's a good thing she called Garth, at least he's got enough authority to get his nose into this investigation, beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

Yes....where do we go from here? Hank and Emmy are behind, unaware of what's unfolding. Smythe is in over his head and I fear he might do something to impress Peter. Our bumbling thieves are dead unfortunately and Costello's men are on the heels of Lance and Bennie. Then, of course, our FBI agent got thrown into the mix as well. The pot is bubbling!!!!

I wish I had a six for you. It would be yours. You do such a great job with these chapters. I enjoyed the read. I'm not sure I like that deputy either, but I can't wait to see what happens next. Enjoy your Saturday. Shirley

This is another excellent chapter. You moved the story along nicely. It seemed a little shorter than usual. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

    Good morning....

I try to remain between 1200 and 1500 words, but sometimes the story line won't fit. LOL Because the writer gets carried away with her ideas. LOL Thanks for enjoying the book thus far. I appreciate it very much.

Oh, Goody, you have added some more interesting characters to the mix. I especially like the addition of the dog, Brandi. I am thoroughly enjoying a story I didn't expect to like.

Oh, how wonderful! It's a story I wasn't sure I could write (well, anything for that matter). But hearing you say you didn't expect to it and I've won you over.... adds joy to my heart. Thank you so very much for your kindness and for changing you mind and enjoying.

Yeah, this is not the type of story I usually can get into. Your writing is superb, which is why I keep reading.

Thanks, Teri... The next chapter is in the works as I wait for the doctor to call in some antibiotics (sinus - ear - jaw infection) Grinch paid me a visit I think! If I can keep writing, I'll post this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Can't have you falling off the edge of your chair, now can we?

Oh, dear, Crissy really needs to call Garth back, I hope she's not that stupid she'll try to investigate without help. She could get herself killed. She's promised to call him back when she knew what was going on. But she doesn't, and that's the problem. This is a wonderful continuation, Carol, and I'll look out for the next chapter. I won't be posting tomorrow or then next week, it being Christmas day, but I will be back on January the first. If I don't see you before, have a fabulous Christmas, dear friend, and a much better new year. You deserve it. Love you lots! :)) Sandra xx

Good day to you, my dear Sandra. I am glad you enjoyed the chapter. Am working on the follow-up but have been a bit under the weather. I hope to post it tomorrow or later on in my day. The season of joy is slipping out the door as my darling daughter is playing "Grinch" again. My writing is my stabilizer!

I will miss your story, but I pray you have the merriest of holidays and will look forward to reading yours again in the New Year.

As for Crissy... I think she'll call Garth back, but I assure you she won't disappear. She got a taste of being a "sleuth" and it's in her blood now. I just hope she stays safe... especially with Peter Costello's men involved.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BLESSED NEW YEAR
Sending a basket or may two (if I can afford the postage lol) filled with smiles, hugs, and all my love.... Carol

This chapter raises a number of important points! Why is the Deputy Sheriff so keen to get rid of Crissy? Is he actually an official at all? The writer makes you look forward to the next chapter?

    Good day, Sarah....

Deputy Tucker did a favor for a member of law enforcement in Boston and it's about to backfire in his face and he's well aware of it. I am thrilled you are enjoying the story and eager for the next chapter. Thank you so much.
