The grandfather of and father of Elizabeth, Frank O'Hara, was more a pied piper philanthropist than a crime boss, helping Irish immigrants get a start in a new land was his specialty. Elizabeth urges her son to call Andrew, beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

Thanks for sticking with the story, Roy, and for enjoying what I have to offer. Your support is greatly appreciated, regardless of how slow I am in responding.

Hi Carol. This is a great continuation to your story. It must be frustrating to be watched all the time. I think Cooper is the father, but we'll see. All best, Ulla:)))

One never knows where Peter and Elizabeth's life might lead us and Cooper as well. There's a mystery there and a story to be told but by whom? Thank you, Ulla.
Smiles and hugs, Carol

Fenton has turned out to be pretty pivotal to all of this...I must remember to keep an eye on the maintenance crew, they see everything! Also, I would like a safe like that. Nothing at all to put in it mind you, but it sounds super cool. Think Amazon?
Oh, I digress...
You're weaving your magic and I'm holding on enjoying the ride...
I had one question about:
"His eyes closed briefly as he pictured him by Lizzie's side,"
Not sure WHY I think this, but would "pictured himself by Lizzie's side"
be the better option?
Just a semi-grammar question with no visible means of support!
Carry on!
I have another chapter to run to!

Tis the season to be thankful and I most certainly am...for writing again, for knowing people enjoy it and for having you as my friend.
My thoughts are always with you.

This is another excellent chapter. The hook is great. I do not see any need for improvement. I look forward to the next chapter. Have a blessed day. You are one of my favorite authors.

Thank you my dear friend for supporting me and enjoying the story.

A pied piper philanthropist? Hmmm, you left a great hook for us. I am almost positive Peter is Cooper's father. I can't wait until that information is revealed. I really like this story.

It will be a while before that situation comes to a head, but I have it worked out in my head and let's just say a lot of people in their town might be surprised. LOL Right now I've got to get to Trenton, Tennessee and find out if your cowboy is lurking around.

I know he's there waiting for me. LOL

Peter Costello certainly terrifies Elizabeth, and it's clear that Andrew dislikes Peter. In the paragraph beginning 'Over the next 30 minutes,' I'm confused about the pronoun 'he' and why learning of the disability would terrify that person. I'm guessing you'll let us know. Wow, a secret vault! Exciting! Blessings.

I think I adjusted the sentence to clarify Fenton's fears. I appreciate you pointing it out to me.
Have a great day!

Virtual ******************* This was up to your normal standard, Carol. Perfect. That awful Peter Costello, I'd send the dogs on him, rip him to shreds. What a creep! He certainly scares Elizabeth to death.
Now we have a fabulous hidden safe, and more mysteries. But we have to wait for Andrew to come and explain. I'm sure it will be good. I can't wait. Love you lots, my dear friend. Hugs and more love. :)) Sandra xxx

Sending a virtual basket of smiles, hugs and love across that great Atlantic to settle in your home to enjoy for days and days. There is so much more to happen and the fireworks between Peter and Elizabeth will surprise us all.
Thanks as always. You know your support means more to me than all the shiny stars.... Smiles and hugs, Carol
Love ya!!!!!!

Another well written chapter. You can feel the tension rising. At least mine is. Knowing the detectives have a lead to follow makes me wonder how soon they will crack the case. You did a great job as usual. Have a good night. Shirley

Thanks, Shirley... I think they might run into a few road blocks on their way but then that's what makes a good story, right? LOL
Thanks, Carol

This was great Sunday afternoon reading. Little-by-little the mystery unfolds for Hank and Emmy, while the mystery builds around the box and the relationship between Elizabeth and Peter. This is storytelling at its best. See you in Chapter 21.

Lorraine,
So happy I could add a little something to your Sunday pleasures. Thank you for taking the time to read and enjoy it. Chap 21 and 22 are waiting in the wings as soon as I can get enough $$ to post.

Interesting last comment about the grandfather. And Peter Costello's obsession with Elizabeth ... That is not going to end well for anyone. You keep developing a number of threads, and they are intricately woven together, and you are doingnit with skill.

Thanks for all your encouragement, Wendy. Peter and Elizabeth remember their past history differently and somewhere an explosion might occur. One never knows!
