It really is a wonderful sacrifice for the likes of us! I saw that this piece needed a number fifteen as well. Who am I to deny that recognition. Most deserving here.

Let me see what else I can find!

Maybe what they say (idk who- don't ask) about you isn't true at all
and that you're here to buoy the spirit of others by saying nice things about other's attempts at writing. Thank you.

I enjoyed your club entry, Tom. I've never thought of the
two ways I wonder could be interpreted. Your words were
well thought out. The couplet rhyming added to the smooth
flow. You gave readers much to think about. The ending was
a perfect conclusion for this Christmas season.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

There is an innocent, almost childlike breathlessness to this verse, Tom, and it's very spiritual...

After all, we ARE God's children and wonder is part of the fabric of celebrating Jesus' birth.

Added bonus? I was reminded of the Christmas Carol "I Wonder as I Wander"--and snuck over to YouTube to listen to it before reviewing!

Have a listen:

Merry Christmas!

Best of all the fare was FREE. NO conductor to check for tickets. Everything I have in life I recognize was gifted by His hands. Destination: Eternal life or life eternal dependent upon one's faith

Tom, this is superb. The story of the Lord's birth expressed so simply. Let's hope everyone celebrates the real meaning of Christmas this year. And all the best to you and your family, I hope Santa is kind to you and your family.

Santa who? He has been so far removed from my memories all that's left is a blurred red suit. Both my girls are 30+ and there are no grandkids, and that's okay. Shopping for the Mrs. and vice versa is a thing of the past. If we need or desire anything we buy it as the scratch itches. Still, I appreciate your wishing us the best the holidays can offer. Back at you. Tom

Lovely poem! Hypothetical, but it makes us revisit our thoughts and understanding of the wonder and significance of that first Christmas in a fresh and uplifting way. I like it a lot.

Maybe. Some will read and say balderdash, and go about their way as always with blinders worn.

Like an echo to the song I've been listening to for days.
Songs in the key of life.
"I'll be loving you always"
Steve Wonder.
Listen to it
You'll see how it echos your song of songs. :-))
You did great with this one.Z.
I love the play with wonder.

For a blind guy Stevie's word ring wonderfully true, and anyone could be blessed by reciprocating the gifts which are received from the powers that be.

Your beautiful poem made me pause and wonder with you. The miracle of Christmas, of God becoming man in order to reconcile us to Himself, is truly remarkable and cause for our wonder and our worship. Thanks for sharing. Sorry I don't have a six left, as this truly deserves one. Blessings. Carol

We'll know all those things one day. Jesus loves each of this like we are an only child. I wonder a lot of things, too, but I have faith and that's enough for now. Very well written.

This is a wonderfully written poem to the "wonder" that God coming down from Heaven, with all its joy and comfort, I guess because He was the one who made me in His image, and as scripture tells us, it was kind for kind, although angels are pure, we're not made in their image, only God could do it, I can't die for you Tom, who would die for me? This is so beautifully written, well done, good luck, blessings Roy
