That's a great reminder for this Thursday! Yes, and everyday we should give thanks and remember those who are struggling and don't have. Our church will be creating Thanksgiving dinner baskets for needy families tomorrow.
Great reminder in your kyrielle poem! Best wishes in the contest!

Thank you so much Helen! Kind of a long title but I got my point across.
I keep forgetting that not every country celebrates. I was hoping tho that my messages were in each stanza something to live every day and not just in America. Thank you my dear friend for such lovely comments. In case we don't talk again, I wish you and yours a very blessed thanksgiving!

Every day for sure, Mystery Author. Your contest was
beautifully presented with equally beautiful wording.
The rhymes worked super, the smooth flow was great,
and your message was loud and clear. You covered
the important aspects about health and family and oneself
in a away readers could all identify with your words. The
verse about veterans was vital to all, since none of us would
be living the life we are if not for them. The color scheme and
image were perfect.
Thanks for sharing and caring.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

This is a good kyrielle. The text is a great size. The message is clearly stated. Your repeating line is so effective in this poem. I was glad to see what you added in your AN. The text and presentation are well done. Good luck in the contest.

Yeah, let's all give thanks. Well, although my family is in no hardship, this year is not for celebrating I'm afraid. Here in Europe we don't celebrate it anyway for obvious reasons.
I really liked your poem. If you've read any of.my posts you'll know what I mean. Ulla:)))

An excellent gesture in this poem, a fit post to cover Christmas, but anytime is good too, we should be thankful at all times, oh yes indeed, it's so good you give God and His Son the glory for his great work on the cross, beautifully written my friend, great rhyming Kyrielle, narrative written, good luck, blessings Roy

Thank you Roy! You mean Thanksgiving? Oh that's right, you don't celebrate Thanksgiving. So of course like I say in my notes, everything in my poem is what we should be mindful of everyday. For the God in your life club, I started a thread because Teri was talking about mothers and it reminded me of how much I loved when she sang, count your your blessings I love that song and that is why I name them. So here's one. 'Roy!' I am thankful you are a blessing of mine my sweet friend. And speaking of music, I love yours! And thanks for the wishes for the contest. They just opened the booth. Thanks again my friend!

prayers to all those without. we are least fortunate,we are least lucky enough to have a roof and house over our head. i think this country takes things for granted for instance throwing away the (food) leftover. your poem was well received and well written. thanks for the read.

Thank you.godlucifer, for your kind words for my poem. They are so appreciated, my dear friend! I agree with you completely about wastefulness. We enjoy left overs so we don't have to cook every night. Food does not go to waste here. But the worst is restaurants. Anyone In case we don't cross paths in the next few days, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Even tho I think you may not celebrate it. God Bless!

This is a well done kyrielle which reminds us that we should be thankful for what we have and remember those who have less. We should pray for them and try to help them any way we can.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Happy Thanksgiving.

Yes, I absolutely agree, sympathizing with the plight of our fellowmen in all walks of life is a must for us, especially for Christians. Jesus is a Savior for all, in all races and in all colors. I enjoyed reading your poem and the rhythm imbued in each line. Thanks for sharing.

What a fitting Thanksgiving kyrielle. I like the way you featured the poor, the sick, and the wounded in your first three stanzas. It provides a nice contrast to the family and faith themes in the final stanzas.

Our culture celebrates Thanksgiving Day with family, friends, feasting, and football in preparation for "shop 'til you drop" day of consumer-centric consumption. Our faith community traditionally adds to this a reiteration of the list of things God gives us and the ways in which he blesses us.

Your poem challenges us to look beyond ourselves and all that we have been given to consider "the least of these" for whom thanksgiving is an intentional choice and not an obvious response. Thanks.

On a personal note, I notice you changed your photo. Who is that with you? What a great picture of both of you!

Is that ugly COVID chapter behind you now?

Also, I shared my testimony on FanStory last week. Did you see it? It took third place in the True Story contest but, more importantly, I thought you'd enjoy it.

Blessings...

Hi Curt, thank you so much! How did you know this was me? Lol, it maybe best if you edit my name out tho. And that is my daughter at a wedding she was in just a few years ago. I would love to read your testimony and will do so yet this weekend. Thanks for letting me know. Congrats on that placing!
Thanks so much for such a wonderful detailed review of my poem. You are so kind, my sweet friend! I look forward to reading your testimony!
