I loved this! How clever of you. The only reason I'm giving you five instead of six stars is because I think your font is difficult to read. (But since I might enter this particular contest, I'm certainly not going to encourage you to change it, lol!) Good luck to you; you have a winner, here!

Laurie, you truly crack me up. You have no problem with me because I am horrible at writing Sonnets. I changed it three times to try to get the meter write, not to mention I forgot about the syllable count at first so had 14 in each line. And it is so hard to find the right font for the right poem, because I got shingles in my eyes a couple years ago and I see everything as a blurr. So it is hard for me to tell. I did try to go with elegance and picked the one I thought was easiest to read, but was mostly guessing. I do thank you for your lovely comments, as you are so sweet my friend.

I thought you might be giving too much credit for the design until the final lines which was where I had thought the design came about to begin with. Very cleverly done.

Awe Tom, as always you are one step ahead of me. With a strict syllable count and meter, I was limited to how I phrased this, but it obviously could not have been from one car. I think I have a secret admirer. Where were you that morning??? Hahaha! Thanks for the kind review and comments my fun friend.

If you have a secret admirer, you should tell the world. I wish I had one for the mystery of it.

What a well-written sonnet. I love how you took this picture and then wrote such beautiful words about it. I am sure your husband hated to tell you that he had not created the hearts, but doing so, showed that he was a very honest man.

Thank you so much Anne for the loveliest review and comments. Also for the gracious gift of six stars. They are all appreciated so much, just as you are, my sweet friend.

The author's words are engaging! I found the poem to be a wonderful
way to show love! As the author stated in her poem I would have been
touched and moved by these hearts! The poem flows and connects well.
The artwork is awesome and compliments this poem. Great poem!

Lol, What a shame he had to tell you the truth, that would have been a fib I could live with!! LOL. I enjoyed your lovely sonnet and the ending was fabulous. Very well done, and good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra xxx

Thanks so much Sandra. You are always so sweet and I appreciate your lovely review and comments. He told me after he admitted it that he wished he had kept that part to himself. But I know I would have caught him, because he always gets a funny look on his face, when he tells a little white lie. LOL! Thanks again my dear friend.

That's hilarious. A perfectly executed sonnet with a punch line couplet to conclude. I had to go back to the photo and reexamine it. Yup, that would be a car turning around in the driveway.

So someone else did it? You must have been so disappointed when you learned the truth.
Ach well, your husband was honest and didn't take the credit. Ulla:)))

Your sonnet is a nice, bittersweet one.
You build up the beginning to be romantic--only to have her let down. Nice touch for a poem!
Good luck with this one ,
Blessings,
Cindy

This got my day off to a good start - laughed out loud! I was following along on this romantic interlude with you and your husband and then - wham! Reality stopped the music. Screeching tires killed the mood... lol
