I thought it was a great tribute to those all important, yet often taken for granted walking shoes. You had a wonderful sense of humor about this, and the rhythms and rhymes captured the gait of walking I thought. estory

Thank you my dear friend! As always you are so very sweet. I truly appreciate your lovely words for my poem. Sally wrote one called "I love high heel shoes", so this was my way of having a little fun with her and that's why I wrote this. I think you would really enjoy it. What can be better than doing something you enjoy doing and something like walking shoes that are so comfortable that they make walking a joy. Sounds to me, to be a win, win, win.

Thanks so much Nomi. I had fun with Sally's type of Circus Poem in order to have a little fun in answer to her, "I love high heel shoes." She invented these poems that are like a circus where there is so many different things going on in the arena.. that's why there's a little free verse along with the rhyme. However mine have more rhyme because that is more my style.
Anyway, check out hers on high heels and see why I thought this was fun.

Wow, this is a great poem and I really enjoyed reading it. I love because it's a poem about stuff I like and can relate too. I also can tell the writer put some time into it carefully and it's a genuine poem and I like that. The poem is beautiful and the picture is perfect for the poem and it's beautiful too.

Rena, you are so very sweet. I truly appreciate your lovely words for my poem and if you want to enjoy more, check out the one who invented the. Her name is Sally Law and she wrote one called "I love high heel shoes", so this was my way of having a little fun with her and that's why I wrote this.

Thanks so much JL for the kind review and comments. I have a couple reasons that I look forward to Spring, besides wear walking shoes. One being that we got our first couple inches of snow today. Yuck!

I really like this poem for this contest, good luck. It is a very fun poem, there are several lines that are over the top with humor, but my favorite is about the fitness tracker, subtle understated humor at its best.
I had to go find Sally's poem about high heels, and that does make this poem more fun. Although I will say Sally had a good song about High Heels, I never heard a song about flat heels, and that's too bad. Excellent work. Terry.

Merry- go-rhymes. Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a song about flats. Flat never has been a big seller. Lol! Thanks again my awesome friend. You really did make my day.

Thanks so much Lorraine. Circus Poems are actually not supposed to have any set rhyme,. They are supposed to be like being at a circus, there are many things going on with a little of this and that. Sally is really great at it, but I love writing them so much because they are so much fun.. Actually this was a humorous answer to her, "I love high heels."
I love that you have so many clogs. I have a pair from about 10 years ago that I refused to get rid of because I want to wear them again someday.

Oh no Tom, is this one of those, "if you can't find anything good to say...."
Lol, let me ease your mind on that. Yes, I do love any shoes because of what they are made for. But this poem was a little fun with Sally for her Circus Poem, "I love high heels" And those types of poems are supposed to resemble a circus with a little bit of this and that going on. That is why you don't get a set rhyme scheme because there is none, And you my friend did a great job of being gracious. Thank you Tom! : )

I wasn't sure how well this kind of poem would be received or if many had heard of Sally's Circus Poems, but they are so much fun to write. It makes a whole poem of free verse or rhyme almost boring to write now. Yet I am a rhymer from way back so that probably won't change any time soon. Thanks again my sweet friend for being so kind. So appreciated.
