I'd like to say it's all foreign to me...but let's face it, most women make that extra-special effort when a particular gent has caught our eye! Love the description of Emmy preparing for work in a whole new way...

I think you referred to a cafe / and then a cafe' ~~ I'd suggest you choose one (although I'd frequent either...)

It's no coincidence that many a tough case has been broken wide open by loose lips and astute ears. Smythe, too, has given yet another hint about those "rocks" of fame and fortune!

I'm having fun binging!

On to the next!

I so appreciate the fact that you have continued to stick with the story and found time to binge on it. It tells me for sure that you must truly enjoy or I believe it might have fallen to the wayside... bookmarked for life. LOL Thank you so much!

    Love ya!

This is another excellent chapter. I am reading them out of order since I was out of town for a few days. I do not see any room for improvement. I look forward to getting the chapters in order LOL.

You are going to get confused, my friend. I get confused just trying to make sure I don't get the time line out of order and I am writing it. LOL Thanks again as always. Smiles, Carol

I'm sorry I'm so long in reviewing, Carol, we have had an unexpected death in the family. It's been quite traumatic. I'll be in and out of FS for the next few days. Just need to catch up a bit while I can.

Now, I can see what this young Officer Smythe is up to, and in a way you can't blame him. Police don't get paid what they deserve, but I think he's got himself into a lot of trouble going to Costello, there is usually a nice bullet with the poor guys name on it, not a nice financial pay-off. We will see what happens. This is a great chapter, my friend. Now to read the next part. Love and hugs, :) Sandra xxxx

Thanks, Sandra. I was worried about you, and now I am so sorry for your loss. Too many of them lately in everyone's family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Sending my love and many hugs, Carol

Poor Terrence he doesn't know whether his life has changed or not, but I suspect not for the best, when one is poor temptation lurks. Emmy has the hots for Hank, but I think this is mutual, and if I know my scrubbings there's something in the air this night, well done Carol, good writing, blessings Roy

Oh no! That information given to Peter would probably endanger more people's lives. I hope that Lance and Bennie can get away soon but Bennie was being followed!
Cute scene with Hank and Emmy becoming more acquainted. I guess Sara wanted Emmy to be surprised.

Thank you, Teri. I can't tell you how much it means to me to have you following my story and enjoying it. I wasn't sure I could return to writing after my hiatus, but the kindness and reassurance from everyone has helped so much. I write because I enjoy it, but more importantly, I love when others do too. Thank you!

I read this out of order, sorry about that. It's bad habit I have. I bet after Hank and Emmy get a hold of Terrence, he would wish he didn't make that call.

He spoke into the phone. "May I ask how you got this number? It is unlisted." (comma after 'phone')

The bodyguard entered Peter's bedroom and stood next to his boss, listening. (stood beside his boss)

"Dia -- dia -- monds, sir" Stuttering, Smythe wiped the sweat from his forehead. (comma after 'sir' and lower case 's' on 'stuttering')

Thanks so much for the corrections and for continuing to read. I fear Officer Terrence put dollar signs ahead of integrity, something many tend to do when they feel trapped pr at a dead end.

This is another good chapter, Carol. I think Officer Smythe might be getting himself into something that could mess up his retirement entirely. I hope this isn't the reason in real life why there seem to be so many crooked cops. Well done.

One little spag: "...change in Peter(,) Smythe's confidence improved" - remove comma

People get pushed into corners and then while smothering in indecision, they make irrational choices and change their lives forever. Thank you for reading and reviewing. I hope you continue to follow the story.

The chemistry developing between Hank and Emmy will add an extra spark to their crime fighting endeavors. I look forward to their collaboration of ideas. They have a long way to go, as there are many moving parts to the jewel heist I'll enjoy going on the wild ride with them. Great chapter.

The jewels and their travels will affect so many lives and most of it won't be for the good. Greed and power play a dark role in the characters lives. Thank you so much, Lorraine. Have a great day!
