Willowmina is one smart lady .very cleverly she has got all the ts to gather and discuss the Thanksgiving party. She gave a fine twist at the end. I like the names. I was trying to imagine the get together with all the children their spouses their exes children etc etc....Tons of fun.

Hi Terry, this was a fun story I think it's a great idea that they're all are invited out for a special Thanksgiving. But it comes with the caveat that the favour is returned at Christmas. Very well written. Ulla:)))

I love Grandma Willowmina's plan for Thanksgiving. I wish she had been around when my family had large Thanksgiving dinners. This story was well written with clear authentic dialogue that pushed the story forward. You're a great short fiction story writer of enjoyable tales.

I love Grandma Willowmina's plan for Thanksgiving. I wish she had been around when my family had large Thanksgiving dinners. This story was well written with clear authentic dialogue that pushed the story forward. You're a great short fiction story writer of enjoyable tales.

My children always left everything to me. When I was younger, I loved it, but as the family grew, I felt more like the caterer than the head of the family. Wonderful idea!

Sounds frighteningly similar, except it's the Dolphins on TV and my family opining for Dan Marino while wrestling for the wish bone. Those were the days. Your family is brave to invite the ex wives. Hopefully a pastor/referee is there is call off sides and throw a penalty flag if needed. The time out chair is always a good option.

Sally thank you for the six stars! This is a fiction story, but when my wife was alive she did have 10 to 12 people over, and always worked it around the Cowboy game. Terry.

To date the largest Thanksgiving dinner was around 60 or so including dogs. I'm searching for the picture now and hope to have it up on my page. I'm in the middle in sunglasses next to my husband and immediate family. Sal

There was a couple of dialogue spots where I wondered if a comma should replace the period For example:
Teri pipes up. "There is always a dash to get to
(Pipes up being action words for speaking like says or said).
Also (There is as there's) cause people almost always speak in contractions in real life.
Just my two cents
I gave this a six because of the fantastic detailed character development my friend. You are so good!
