Thanksgiving, Texas Style is a well-written story you've written. What I like about the story is that it proves that though we Americans have the same culture, but is distinguished by our sub-culture. What's on a Texas Thanksgiving table (outside of the turkey) differs from a New York or Mississippi table. Great job!

Well! Mother certainly makes the four Ts pay for their easy ride. Looks like they'll be busy the whole of the next 40 days planning and preparing for Christmas, including their supposed day of enjoyment at Thanksgiving. Entertainment... hmm I guess a simple game of charades won't suffice, they'd better call in a playwrite and start learning their lines. Kate xx

I wonder if they' change their minds knowing they're in charge of Christmas? That's a lot of people to feed and organize, but maybe the exes can be left out of Christmas. Great story. This story is a hoot. And I love your choice of names, the Four T's and Pyles! And of course, there is no way to have Thanksgiving without the game in the background. Or in the foreground for some people.
To keep the story all in present tense, a few suggestions:
1st paragraph: (has) announced in an email . . .
(has also) hired the well-known
2nd para: (are) unsure what to make of this news.
Tomasina (takes) the lead and (invites)
4th para: Tomasina (chooses)
8th para: Suggest period after Ralph.
Suggest place the dialogue tag within the dialogue, and delete the semicolons from speech. "Whatever works," she says. "I'll do anything to help. I've seen pictures of the Cedar Gardens (and) it's a gorgeous venue with walking trails, waterfalls, and fountains.
9th para: Tomasina (grimaces) at the ladies.
18th para: Tiffany (who has) always considered herself
23rd para: Replace semicolon with period.
Should "didn't" be (don't) lift a finger?
A thoroughly entertaining read!

What a great story. Very entertaining. We have seven kids, thirteen grandkids and I think four or six greats, I can't remember. Thank God they won't all be here. As it is, I think there will be thirteen. Fortunately, the cooking will be divided between three homes. I'm hoping that after dinner, before the little kids start getting cranky, they'll all go home, and take most of the food with them. I can only eat left overs for so long.
