This is a good entry to the Thanksgiving Poem Contest. The text is a nice size. The message is clearly stated. The rhyme scheme is well done. It's almost singsong ~great!
The visual fits perfectly. I love it being a gif with the pie dropping down with whip cream. This is my favorite thus far. Good luck in the contest.

Cute poem! I can't wait for Thanksgiving either. It's the first one with my daughter. My favorite is the jellied cranberries in the can! Yum yum! HAPPY Thanksgiving!

What a beautifully poem celebrating thanksgiving, although we don't celebrate thanksgiving specifically, it is such a darn good idea, because we are celebrating Jehovah Jirah, our provider more than anything, then celebration of family. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Great imagery here. Definitely makes me want to eat that turkey dinner!
However, in the first quatrain, I'm not sure why the narrator "sighs." It elicits a negative connotation to the dinner, yet, the rest of the poem has a different, more positive tone.
Also, I really enjoyed the rhyme scheme until the fourth stanza, which didn't flow with the rest of the poem.
Otherwise, nice job.

You are absolutely correct...about the fourth stanza! I can't believe I did that and I changed it, thanks to you. I will say that I've heard the word sigh used in connection with pleasure, so that's what I meant. Thanks so much for the correction, its very helpful. :)

Ah, this is just precious! We are much the same as we spy the pumpkin pie together! For two, pretty please?
Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes for the upcoming contest,
