The Speaker remembers Autumn as a time of "laughter, love, and joy" experienced through the years. Special memories regarding leaves and her father and mother are recalled. I think of Fall ending with Thanksgiving, not Christmas. Still I enjoyed this lyrical poem very much. Rod

I always think of fall as ending after Halloween. Snow usually comes shortly after, in 1992 we had a storm right on Halloween and ended up with 37 inches of snow. Thanks for reading my poem. :)

This is a well-done rhymed and metered poem. I thought it had a lyrical quality. I liked the references to childhood memories and bringing pretty leaves to show to a mother. Those of us lucky enough to have fathers who raked leaves definitely remember those piles of leaves. Fun read.

This is a lovely poem beneath interesting falling leaves. You have done a great job of reminding us of the most wonderful times of autumn. Best of luck in the Rhyming Poem contest.

Thanks for this posting. I love Fall the best also. Your poem brought me back to many places in moments of time
where your poem could have been mine!
Lol just had to rhyme it. Again, thanks for a nice read.
