So this is how Hank meets Emmy! That makes this a prequel, I guess, to Revenge, and possibly other book(s) you've written. I thought these two sounded familiar, so I took a quick look at your portfolio.
So in the first chapter, we met the victim's daughter; here, we're introduced to two of our detectives.
I'm sure you'll be adding more characters, along the way. I didn't find any errors.
You always have a little romance going on, among your characters. It does spice things up.

First and foremost, I want to thank you for continuing to read and enjoy the story. You put a smile on my face. I appreciate your time and your thoughtfulness.
Sorry for the delay but we have just had our 7th death in our family and close friends this year and it's taking a serious toll on all of us. Thank you for understanding.
Apologize for the standard post.... Hugs, Carol

You didn't disappoint me with this chapter. You set me to anticipate what would happen between the two detectives and what would be discovered in their cold case. You did a great job. Enjoy your evening. Shirley

Carol,
Ooooh.. Romance out the gate! Nice. I think these guys may have met their match here, though. TWO tough, all-business cops? Oh, yeah. This should be reeeaalllly interesting!
Thanks a bunch -- so good to be reading you!

I don't know if you remember Hank and Emmy from my other stories. They were retired and working as private investigators. This story is when they first met.
I hope you continue to enjoy the story. I promise it will be a bumpy ride. LOL

Of course! I hadn't put that together, though. Duh.

I see we are to be treated to an old friend. Hank will have a new romantic interest this time. You can't let this handsome hunk be monopolized by just one lady. I'm missed Hank just like I've missed you. I can't wait to see there this story goes.

That's a good start for both of them, now let's see them working together as a team. I think there might be a bit more to this relationship by the end of the novel. :)) You are bounding ahead really fast, Carol! I've had a funeral and a couple of meetings since I read chapter one, so I'm doing a quick catch up. Lol. This is another extremely well written chapter, my clever friend. Onto the next chapter!! :)) Sandra xx

OOPS! Missed this one, my friend.
I know life happens... boy do I know... so never fear about having things more important than reading my story. I know you will catch up when you can.
Love you! Carol

Wow, I'm already falling behind on your posts, Carol! lol
This is a great chapter, introducing the characters, again. I see now that you've taken us back to before your previous stories. I thought Hank was missing someone! I love the flirting between him and Emmy and can't wait to see where this case goes. It's very well written, as usual.
Only one little suggestion: "I will take you to his office." - because you used the phrase 'to his office' in the previous sentence, you don't really need it here. I'd just end with 'I will take you up."

Nice catch, Judy! I appreciate all the help I can get. Even with a writing editor, things slip by these old eyes. (Fixed)
Appreciate your enthusiasm and of curse the stars. I hoped the fans who had read previous stories would like to learn about their beginning.
Thank you and have a great day!

I am glad I went back and read this chapter too! I used to work with our local police department many years ago and this brings back old memories. You used great descriptive words and great dialogue! love and blessings, Teri

Thank you, John. My eyes are rather blurry after writing the new chapter but I knew I had to thank everyone for so graciously returning to return my writing. I am blessed by each and everyone of you. Hope dinner is yummy and you find the next chapter interesting as well.

So now we know how Hank and Emmy met, but will we see our handsome 'Cowboy' in this novel? I am really enjoying reading this and can't wait for more. You're doing a great job of writing.

Oh, dear friend, you've made me laugh out loud. I knew if anyone asked about Garth it would be you. If I recall Hank has known Garth for a long time, but I will have to check and see how far back they go. One never knows if the duo will join forces again.
Smiles and hugs, CC

Sorry, I'm madly in love with Garth. I'm glad he's fictional or my husband would get jealous. LOL
-
I remember! And I love that he comes alive for you even it is fictional. Hugs, CC

You are off to a magnificent start, and I am ready for the adventures of Hank and Emmy. They have great chemistry and will probably compliment one another as the story progresses. I can feel your creative juices flowing, and I will be right here for the ride.

thank you. I hope I don't get to carried away with emotions. I am so blessed to be writing again that I tend to let my emotions bubble over into my characters. Please feel free to rein me in if I get carried away. thank you so much.
