This free verse, His Great Love and Mercy, is a great testimony of a life that was spared and made whole by the acceptance of God's grace and His power to heal and help us prosper. Nice.

Delightful story/poem. To have His love and protection is so simple, yet so many people will not get down on their knees and ask Jesus to forgive them. There is no peace for those who will not recognise Him. I liked your poem and now you have the peace you have been searching for for so long. Blessings, K XX

The faint glimmer of light is there in all of us .Unfortunately our ignorance and ego blocks it completely till cracks appear .Then we see Him and then wise would follow Him.

What an exceptional testimony you have put out into the world with this poem! I am praying for the perfect writing vehicle from which I too will finally share my testimony with my writing. I am patiently waiting on His call, for only when something is spirit-breathed with it gain life in others. From one of the body of Christ to another, Cheers! and Amen.

Amen! Thank you for sharing your beautiful testimony in this poem! Loved that dramatic depiction of the Lord pulling you from the pit and holding your hand and continuing to guide. Great choices of Scripture verses, too! Best wishes in the contest!

First I just want to say Congratulations! You are a miracle of grace and I know you will never regret your purposeful decision to follow Christ. Your poem is a beautiful testimony and praise to God. I loved every line of it, and hope you continue to grow spiritually and creatively. Keep writing and telling the truth. God's blessings will follow you.

This feels like a deep and heartfelt journey of self discovery in tandem with an understanding of faith, and what that faith means to you. Your passion is evident throughout and carries this piece through to conclusion.

An excellent entry into the contest. I think it was a wonderful poem. I felt like I was in church being read the gospel. It flows wonderfully. Good luck in the contest.

Your contest entry read well, Fonda. I liked the color scheme and
image. Your words flowed smoothly and created great imagery. I
liked how you put into words what you thought and felt. You did
a great job recounting where you were and how prayer saved you.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Indeed, if sins were what Jehovah God looked at only, none would be able to stand. Those who sin, and that is all of us as none of mankind is perfect, but the one who hung and dies for the absolution of our sins. Every morning when we wake, we should be reminded of God's great and abiding love, This is a love so great that he was able to wrench from his own heart, the son that he created out of his great capacity for love. To allow his beloved son to die for the disobedience of his once perfect creation. To do this for us, the descendants of gross sinners, so that we might have the future they threw away. That is love like no one has ever seen or witnessed before. We are truly blessed.
