I love this poem because it is genuine and it make the reader feels that it is all about you in the poem. The poet uses a good choice of words throughout the poem to inspire the reader. I enjoy reading poems that feel are authentic and this one was real, written from the heart.

Great entry for the World Mental Health Day (Oct 10) contest.
Mental health is so important for people and our communities.
1 in 5 adults in America experience a mental illness. Nearly 1 in 25 (10 million) adults in America live with a serious mental illness.
I would add the suicide prevention life line 988

I think that to love yourself and be strong within is where ANY journey begins. Otherwise you are lost to outside factors be they good or bad. The next step is to care for others. Because love is essential
