This is such a wonderful poem defending women of a certain age. I had a hysterectomy at twenty nine and went through early menopause. My thoughts were that it was behind me. However, a few years ago, I went through menopause again (I am fifty one now). Sometimes I still have the nasty night sweats. I think I hate those the most.

Monica, thank you so much!. How strange, but I too had my hysterectomy at 29, but they left me with the quarter of an ovary, that God blessed me with three children with. They told me children would never happen. Anyway I started menopause at 38 and have been dealing with it since. However it's not as bad as I am now 67. I used to call the night sweats HATEFUL! Just couldn't find a better word. Girl I sure hope yours is better soon. I hope it helps you a little to laugh as we all certainly relate. I so often use humor to get thru those times. So sorry for being so long winded, but I thank you with all my heart for your lovely comments and your gracious gift of six stars, as you have no idea how much it's all appreciated.
FYI; any chance that you saw you were a part of a poem about lunch with FS friends. I just read it so just wasn't sure if you had seen your part in it,.Fun party! Lol! I too was invited..

I actually just got finished reading Lunch with FS Friends (I think that's the correct title). I was so tickled that I was included.

What a great and humorous poem! I enjoy reading it. It made me laugh and smile throughout! The author covered the insults the dwarves implied with details and in defense! The poem flows and connects well. The artwork goes well with the theme and words of this poem.

Awe Mary, you are so sweet. Thanks so much for the very kind and fun comments my lovely friend.
Also it is nice to see you survived the virtual FS lunch at Margaret (LateBloomer's) place a few days ago. Lots of drama. If you haven't seen it, should still be on the home page. I even had a part in it.

Nice humorous poem about some serious problems that we encounter as we get older. I am not a female, but many of those symptoms that you mention, I experience.

I can believe that. Lol, besides when pregnant, I never had a belly. But menopause brought one special delivery! Yet my husband has always had one. Go figure! Lol! Thanks for the sweet review Paul and for being a good sport!

This is a witty poem about the changes of menopause. I like the seven dwarfs for each major symptom. You used the words well also. I like the last stanza which shows the bitchiness of menopause.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Hope you did well in the contest.

Hi Joan, contest hasn't been up for vote yet. It's still being checked over and lol, maybe thinking of disqualifying me for writing about something like this. Jk! Thanks for your very kind comments because it's how I get thru slightly serious topics easier by making light of them and with laughter.

    Hi,
I think the only thing that could cause a problem if one of the judges is menopausal. Ha ha

Omg.... this is so funny, and as a woman who had menopause, I can relate. I usually don't like picture with words for my poems but yours works well with it. Well done! I love it!

This is another classic. Your definition of menopause is accurate. When we turn into the devil, it is like a storm that has been brewing for a long time. Thunder clashes send lightning streaks. If mom is not happy, no one will be happy. You either freeze everyone or burn them up. Your body temp gets out of whack. Thank you for sharing.

Haha! Carolyn that is hilarious! I should have collaborated w you before writing. Might as well figure that those of us that suffered the worst w menopause, also had the PMS attacks before that. I used to lock myself in my room so I wouldn't create any drama. Thanks so much my friend for the fun and awesome review and words!

This is hilarious! You've covered all the symptoms, and probably a few I didn't realize were associated with menopause. Thanks for the laughs.
Blessings.

Yeah, it doesn't take much to set my wife off in our current state. That changes daily; she still says I'm going through male menopause. Who knew! What a wonderfully written poem.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.
