This is a beautiful heartfelt prayer to God asking him to keep your friend safe. We aren't meant to understand why someone has to suffer a horrible disease, when we know they are good people. Why is a question that we can't answer. I lost my sister at seventeen. Why did she have to die just as her future would be taking off? My comfort is knowing that she safe now in heaven and that nothing else can hurt her. I'll say a prayer for you, dear writer, and for your friend. God Bless both of you.
