Excellent. I know the feeling. Trying to wrap awkward passages single-handedly. If I buy too early I forget and get two gifts for the same person, or see something else and then think I'll set one aside for the next birthday ... on it goes. Very humorous and very relatable.

You are so sweet Wendy! And yes, I do the same, but the little kid in me just can't wait and in a moment of weakness, I give it to them early. Glen says I am like a kid myself as I just love the joy of spreading more joy. So I thank you for such a lovely review and words about my poem. And although I do all online shopping, my kids give me ideas and links to follow for the grandkids. Since life just isn't always too funny, we have to exaggerate in our writing. Like If you saw my husband's wrapping, you'd see that actually I'd rather he keep snoozing. Haha! But he does get the bill!

As the saying goes, this is getting down to "brass tacks" and it reveals the practical side of living with one's loved ones, but I know you are a lover of people, why? And of course Roy, this is partly fictional The part about my husband snoozing and me being upset w him. He does other things to help and if he wants to snooze I don't mind.. The picture was from last Christmas after my daughter's & granddaughter helped me wrap since I've been down more. It's just real life by itself isn't comical, but he does pay the bill. Haha! I

Thank you so much Sandra! You always make me smile. However, I really don't mind doing it because my daughters or grandkids help me the last few years that things got harder for me to do. And l know what Glen's wrapping looks like so I like when he does many other things for me. However real life isn't so funny so we have to use a little fiction along the way with humor. Except it is true that he does get the bill. Lol. Thank you for such a sweet review and comments my friend.

A fun one for the Make Me Laugh prompt. My blind secret is gift bags and tissue. It's actually cheaper if you buy the bags in bulk. We have a big family and when it's all done, it's the gift thats remembered that counts! Yay for husband's who pay the bill! :)) :))

Oh Sally you are so on the ball and pay more attention to detail than most with great eye sight. I wish there was a way for you to see my picture too because was my last yrs Christmas tree after all was wrapped and the tree was full. So I thought it would be the perfect photo for the poem. Thanks my lovely friend for the fun review and comments and maybe this year I might have to try it your way! I do use a lot of gift bags but there is the old memory of Christmas as a kid tearing them open. However I should write fiction on some of my poems, as I really do love puttsin and enjoying it. Haha and that part was true, but l really don't want his help because he wraps mine every year and I would rather do it myself. Lol. I am happy that he does other things. Sometimes real life isn't very funny so you have to use a little of both. So thanks for doing this contest as I just found it a couple hours ago. So had to work fast.
