If I didn't talk to myself, how would I know what I was thinking?-- a great line. Since all my thinking stays in my head, I guess I'm not mad. Your alter ego is sure having fun mocking your haircut, a pony tail is so out of date, but my hubby delighted in growing one too twenty some years ago!
This tempts me to mock myself in a fun dialogue. That's a good thing when someone's post nudges me, hence the six.

Thank you so much :-). I thought I'd have a go at replicating the sort of conversations that go on in my head - they make a lot less sense than this does, of course, but I think part of writing is interpreting the nuttiness in our heads!

I thought you were supposed to talk to yourself. Does this mean you're not, and that I should let my frogs out of their box? Nah, can't be. Whatever would they do if I let them out, and who would I talk to? LOL Thanks for the fin read.

-You did a good job with your dialogue and 750th milestone post, Mike/ Fleedleflump.
-How did you come up with your FS name, or is that another topic for a self-evaluating dialogue?
-I enjoyed reading this and the banter which is all about you in one way or another.
-I like how you summon FF to come out in the beginning.
-I also like his description of the milestone as "just a coat of yellow paint", as well as "a fruitcake in the shape of a human." That one made me laugh.
-The ending section is also good. I don't think I could interview myself; I'd be stuck about the first question!
-Thanks for sharing the creativity and humor.

I seriously enjoyed this, but, darn it, now I have to look up a bunch of words. Seriously, interviewing yourself is a great idea. It's an interesting and maybe a bit scary journey into your mind. Evi

Lol, thank you so much, Evi :-). The conversations in my head are probably way weirder than this, but I got as close as I could in a way that would still make sense!

Ha, well that's quite a piece for a milestone post! Congratulations on achieving that number of posts. I like your introspection, and self-evaluation, trying to get some good conversation and insights happening, all the while being both realistic and humorous in a self-deprecating way. Well done.

I would LOVE to see your sketch of Feedleflump! I adore this little sketched out script! In fact, you should turn it into a hilarious screenplay! Seriously. As Mike lives his life at work, at the bar, on dates, Feedleflump keeps showing up to feedleflumpus him (talk to him) and make Mike embarrass himself in different ways because, of course, no one else can see or hear Feedleflump, except Mike! I would adore that screenplay and movie!

Thanks so much, Michaela :-). I must still have that exercise book, somewhere in a box in the loft. One day, I'll have a dig for it! I love the idea of Mike being tripped up by his alter-ego in everyday situations. I might incorporate the concept into another story I've got in mind. Hmm, we'll see :-)

Now, this is fun! Nothing better than poking a bit of fun at yourself while contemplating this huge milestone of 750 posts! I can't choose a single line I preferred, since the entire premise appealed to me from the start! We're all a bit schizoid when it comes to our writing persona, don't you think? Oh-- sorry, I was asking myself!
(Grin)
Congratulations on this "bit of fun!"
May Selma Hayek visit you in your dreams! With all kinds of stars!
You crack me up...

I think any writer who claims They're not a bit loopy is still on their voyage of self-discovery! I'm so happy you liked this one - it was lots of fun to write :-)

My husband accuses me of talking to myself all the time, so I was quite entertained by this dialogue. Wonderfully done by the way.
I think you created the perfect topic for your milestone post. A great read!

Thanks so much, Terry :-). The bulk of those posts were in my earlier years on site, but even so, it's a big number! I thought I'd have a bit of fun with it!

I did enjoy reading this milestone post. It caused me to smile. Congratulations on this wonderful number of posts. I'm 168 away from my next milestone of 1000. You'll probably beat me since I only post once a week. LOL. Thank you for sharing this milestone with us.
