This is a very well-written song. The lyrics are engaging and easy to follow along with. I could imagine this tune as a song playing on the radio. It would be so wonderful to have a relationship like this with someone. You expressed the sentiments very well. Excellent job!

This is a great entry for this contest, good luck. I can tell, as others will, too, that this song is written from a noncheating heart. Thank you for writing it. Now, can you just Dolly to set it to music and record it? Excellent work! Terry.

Thanks so much Terry. What an awesome review and comments and I thank you so much for your gracious six stars. Lol, yeah I pretty much push that fact of no cheating heart, but it did fit nicely in the chorus. I have heard from a critic who doesn't believe you can care for someone of the opposite sex that deeply and still have a platonic relationship. I am here to say thats hogwash. Oops, did I just say that. Haha! Anyway thanks so much my friend for telling me to get Dolly to sing it. After all, she supposedly has a long happy marriage with many male friends. Lol, Hmmm, I actually do have a contact in Branson who is a champion fiddle player, played with Buck Trent for years and then before he died played with Mel Tillis for about 5 years. He is a cousin of Glen's who lived a mile from here and the family still does.
Wouldn't that be cool to have something good enough to have it looked at by someone? Thanks again my dear friend. I do appreciate it so much!

Congrats. I find this to have a beginning and end suitable for the recording booth and the chorus rings that bell found in a carnival. Ding! Good luck. This should fare well.

Thanks Tom, actually this song is written for 3 guys who have been instrumental in walking down a path of encouragement and fellowship as she struggles after a life changing surgery, almost dying while in the hospital. She feels the same about all three so it's like talking to each individually.
Thanks my friend for the awesome review and the very kind words!!.

These lyrics, This Man I Adore, seems to be talking about a prisoner. If that's wrong, I guess I missed any other clues. Nicely set up.

No it isn't but that would be an excellent poem or song. Actually Bill, it's about 3 people who have been instrumental in helping someone who just had a life and death situation and walking in fellowship to keep the love of Christ going strong! However she only speaks as one because the appreciation is just as strong for all, so each one that reads it as it's for them. As it is.A virtual stranger who becomes a virtual. brother. Thanks Bill, you might want to go w that idea or I'll take it if you don't want it. Let me know. Thanks again my dear friend for the lovely review and comments!

This Man I Adore" is a country song lyric that tends to sound more like a religious FM channel than a country songs. While it's true that country songs are not reluctant to thank God and speak of God, the extent to which this happens in this lyric distance it from the typically concrete statements in country music.
Additionally, 'adore' is a word overused in emotional language. It seems to lose credibility on that basis. "The soul's what I see; there is no face" is contrary to the nature of human love. It is exactly the human face we see, and while God may - MAY - have made us passionate beings, we aren't made to experience our love in conjunction with our love of God; it's pretty clear that love operates off a physical basis.
A lot of the rhymes in this lyric are chosen more for their function as rhymes than for their contributions to the sense of the song. This entire composition is watered down by its effort to unify human, passionate love with a religious sense of love for God.

Frank I will thank you for reading this, and as much as you maybe right about the part of the fact that the faith part is questionable for country songs. (yet I have heard many) After that you lost the floor my friend. Since we have no idea what is in the heart of another human, it is completely inaccurate for you to assume that a person couldn't feel this way about someone who has walked down a path in fellowship that was life changing for them. All of the information in songs don't explain all the circumstances. As far as watered down, every single word was straight from the heart and God made us to completely love each other in a Godly way and does not have be physical. That's hogwash! I am saying that cause I have always had kind of caring for many, including you and I have never seen your face. I actually had more I would have liked to say to this man who supported me after an extremely traumatic life and death situation, but didn't want it to go on for too long. I have the utmost respect for you & your feedback most of the time, but you are not even close this time regarding human and godly emotions!! With that said, I still love you Frank, even tho we clash sometimes.

I can totally see and hear this being a country song! You've got a clear rhythm to your words and and a solid chorus to bring it all together. I do thing your closing chorus line should be the title - that's got a real hook to it.

A fine country song, which could well be put to music, and also a great song of love, and faithfulness. Well written. Sending you best wishes for your entry.

I enjoyed your country song, Mystery Author. It reminded
me of Johnny Cash's 'I Walk the Line.' You did a great job
formatting your presentation, the picture is perfect, and
your words create great imagery of this special individual.
Your words were well thought out, descriptive, and smooth
flowing--all like songs should be. I could hear this as a country
song that's a little slower than many and not one that is
'in your face' more of a traditional one.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

You are so very kind my friend and I truly lovely appreciate your lovely review on my song, and your comments are enlightening. However in my song I speak of not sure I will ever meet him face to face, and I pray that I will meet Jesus face to face. This is about someone who has been in great fellowship
in my walk w Jesus. Thanks again for your lovely words!

I found this country song heartfelt. The song is filled admiration, care, kindness, is thought provoking, descriptive and creative. I pondered on these words and found the author's words coming from the soul. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork is perfect and compliments these words.
