This four-line poem, Child's Choice, follows the rules and reminds us that "we" were the wireless object used to change the channel, adjust the volume, and pound the top to correct the horizontal.

That's cute! I have heard about kids being the "remote control." But the good thing it tells me is that your family watched TV together which is rare these days. Best wishes in the contest!

Now we have an army of remotes, and I'd be better served with an old black and white with rabbit ears, and Leave it to Beaver, Ozzie and Harriet, etc., if you know what I mean.

Same time period as the Beave. Ricky Nelson, his brother Dave and their parents.

-You did a good job with the prompt.
-Good syllable count, topic, and rhyme.
-Good artwork to go with it, too.
-I like your first line about being the remote,
and how you describe doing that.
-At least you didn't have to press buttons.
-A good entry; good luck.

This is an excellent 4-line poem with good rhymes
and the required seven syllable lines.
I remember well being the remote. Tho good old days.
Got a lot of exercise going back and forth.
Tended to watch whichever channel was on too.
Nicely done.
Good luck in the contest.

This was a great poem! I remember being the "channel changer" at my grandmother's house. Thank you for sharing this poem here, and best wishes to you.

Such a worthy entry, dear poet. I can identify with it,
I must be about your age.
I fondly remember the other
horse show about the black
horse named, "Fury." And I
recall, "Mr. Ed." Watched them
while riding my, "Wonder Horse." lol! My best wishes
for the contest. Blessings

Mr Ed was a bit before my time but I still grew up singing that song "A horse is a horse of course of course...". Thanks for your review.

This is such a wonderful entry for the 4 Line Poem contest. I applaud you! I was unsure whether to enter or not because I could not think of anything about a TV. You have followed the prompt exactly, though, and I thank you for sharing. Good luck with the contest!

It took me a while to think of something but my mind kept coming back to this. Strangely it always had to be changed to Dad's choice of channel.
