This poem is excellent in every respect: skillfully and creatively written,
vividly descriptive of negative, hateful people who look only for the bad,
and powerful in it's no-holds-barred message. I would add this: There are
gullible people who hang onto every word these negative people say, consequently forming opinions without hearing the other side. Great job

I so appreciate your lovely review and comments of my letter to my biggest pet peeve. Most of my friends like you are here with either half full cups to cups that are running over and thats what I love most about you and so many others my lovely friend. It is so healing to be with that attitude. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a caring review and words.

I can only agree wholeheartedly - there's no value in spite, and even debate seems impossible for most these days without resorting to name calling. You put it well :-)

Thanks. Mike! As one of the friends here that I respect and care for most, you are the complete opposite of what I am writing about. Thanks so much Sandra. I am feeling a little bit better every day, but just trying to manage the pain w/o any narcotics and that part is difficult right now. But so happy to be home. I wrote this in hopes to reach one person who struggles w negative thoughts and maybe take a better look at . themselves and have a better outlook. I know I couldn't do it without my faith. Thanks again for your lovely review and words my dear friend!

If the shoe fits, wear it, so your use of the letter is good strategy. I think we see a lot of this negativity in government. Those in power look at only the negative side in the opposition instead of trying to find common ground.

I liked this poem about dealing with negative people. There are so many negative people all over the world these days, and political leaders are throwing gas on the fire, inflaming tensions and empowering negative people everywhere.

Awe, thanks Jake. Sometimes it's hard to stay positive when negativity surrounds you. However, what I tried to do in my poem was shine a light on the positive side instead of focusing on the negatives. However when there are facts that need to be dealt with, that is a different story. After all we are all human. Thanks for your kind review and comments my friend!

If you read Judiverse's article today you will see that sin is proliferating and that the justice system is failing their citizens, I wrote that the dismissal of corporal punishment, the lack of God in homes firstly, dismissal of the golden rule, then the lack of police support are causing major problems, the nation is tripping over its constitution, but it starts in the home, take God out of the equation, and you've got the present, and I don't think it's going away, well done, blessings Roy

Thanks Roy, it seems we're all writing about it as it's hard to avoid in now a days. I did read Judiverse's post and I want to share w you what I wrote on her review, as it's affecting all of us now.
This is awesome. I came to read this because as Roy read my letter to negative people, he mentioned your post. Beautifully written my friend. But sadly it is all so true! Here in MN, since George Floyd was killed by that cop's knee on his neck, the police lost so much control. If they try to do their job, they are called racists and all respect is down the drain. BLM organization has stirred things up and made a shambles of the law here. MN Nice, has become MN cop haters and if a black is stopped, it is the cop's fault because he must be a racist. We are an hour away from the Twin Cities, but it's too close for the crime that is allowed now.
Anyway, I am glad Roy mentioned your post, as it is unfortunate how much you nailed the real story of now a days.

Some people have critical and judgmental attitudes but manage to restrain themselves from making hurtful comments. Then some fall in the category of your well-written poem and go about in the world unleashing venom and hurt. Your wonderful poem is a reminder to all that negativity is not in the top 10 best qualities.

This poetic letter of rhyming couplets describes a pet peeve of many of us. I agree that those who see themselves better than others and complain all the time live a lonely life that will only change if they change their view of themselves and the world.

It is sad that when your neighbor just moves in, they would have to deal with someone judging them before even giving them a chance. I am not one bit surprised that you told the other neighbor that, as you have such a kind and giving heart, Barb. It's hard to always be at our best and never get down, but we do have the ability to look on the bright side and try to find a way to stay kind and respectful. And you my friend are exactly that.
