Sassy, witty, and so true. I must say, the idea of the word vo(mi)ted is one of unparalleled creativity and originality.
It's why you're a phenomenal writer, Rachelle. Your wit, your creativity, and your playful yet eye-opening writing voice keeps readers enchanted and refreshed.
I've been on a hiatus from FanStory for a few months now, and the first thing I remembered to do when I returned was to read your writing. And I must say ---- I am not disappointed.

Something rotten in the state of Denmark. The truth is, there's something rotten across the entire globe. We ate on a one way ride to disaster, and one of the lies politicians tell is that "they're al the same".
Therefore voting is pointless.
That's not true. Seismic changes have been bought about by voting.
We constantly need to keep our representatives in check.
A well written, well thought out piece.
Regards,
Kevin.

As long as the voting isn't rigged, it works. The last election gave me pause. Thank you for the extra star; very much appreciated.

I am totally sick for a six! The ending was especially powerful. I see many doing their jobs in spite of everything melthing down faster than a Hershey Bar thrown on the median of the interstate. Apparently the character depicted here does too.
Sending you my best today as always, and my very best for the vote... and the other vote.

Lol. Love the analogy! Very vivid.
Thank you for the fun review, Sal, and the well-wishes. I came in second and was happy with it.

You create in your mind a sad state of affairs in the white house contestants. Yes, that is how I see them, contestants, and for the prize of the year or actually two years the winner wins the chance to undo what the previous president has done and to try to push forward his or her agenda. Then before too long the congress makes its play and outspends them all. Especially on the military!
So, what do we do? We vote our conscious if we have one that is. For those who go around unconscious I have only one word for them...stop the war!
Thanks for letting me spout off about my opinions on the voting system.

I think this is the start of a really good article, Jesse!! I don't see it as "spouting off" at all; to me, that's something obnoxious and unmeritorious in nature. What you've done here is cogent and gives rise to thought, and I thank you for it. But, honestly, I'd love to see you take it more public on here. And I guarantee I'm not alone!
Thank you for this wonderful review!

Thanks, but no thanks!
I do this in reviews, not on the news!

Lol!! Fair enough. It doesn't change that I think your points are all excellent AND well stated, though!

Thanks, I appreciate your kindness.

Interesting story that ends with the idea that the secret service is somehow upset with the choice of president. To bad our choices aren't more Presidential.

Thank you for the encouraging review...and the six stars, as well. (I'm majorly impressed that, on a Saturday, you still had a sixth star left!!)

The one line that likely repeats itself time and again in America is: I didn't so much vote FOR a candidate as I did vote AGAINST his opponent. I did that when Hillary ran. I believe that is how Brandon won without question. The Donald made great strides but was dumber than dumber to exclude those that voted against him. That is the rawness of the elected. They only represent the most meager majority. 50.1% vs forgetting the 49.9%.

Today, all caution is thrown to the wind. Politics has always been a free-for-all, but now no one cares if we can see what's going on behind the scenes. I'm a stupid loudmouth? Deal with it!! I'm old and have dementia? So?! It feels like we've reached an all-time low

Voting is a privilege, that vote can be the difference of a candidate winning or losing. But I feel if you don't know about who you are voting for, you should not vote. The media has a way of twisting the truth, so it is best to do your own research.

Every word of this is true!

Oh the sarcasms so eloquently put. Without question, I think a lot of people vote AGAINST one candidate but not FOR a candidate. It doesn't matter; it's a useless endeavor. I wouldn't be able to work there because I would be in the bathroom all the time. You must have a strong stomach (sort of). Nicely written and I didn't see any punctuation or grammatical errors. Great job!

Sometimes, sarcasm is the only weapon of protest we have left.
Thanks for the review and your words of encouragement.
