LOL!
Where in the world do you live? We had crazy weather this year in Texas, too. Snowfall is a distant memory for us and, while we complained about that, now it's 106. Yikes...
I loved several of your lines. Kicking JackFronst in his snowballs sounds like what needs to happen! lol
Blessings,
Deb

Thank you so much Deb! Isn't humor the best way to take on the unpleasant things life can hand you? We really did skip Spring this year, but certainly have a Summer of lots of 100+ temps too! I live in MN, but should maybe head for Texas next year. : ). I so appreciate your very kind review and fun comments my friend.

Yes it does seem that Winter is lasting longer and longer each year. Maybe February is startin a little to soon for getting the grill ready.
I like the line about going to live with the lizards. I assume that means in the desert.
Good luck in the contest
Keep writing and stay healthy

Hi Joan, lol, actually my dad brought out that grill every Feb 28th no matter what the weather. I was kinda thinking Mexico on a beach, as I wouldn't mind sharing a hut with a lizard, as long as I didn't have to miss Spring, as this year it did seem to go from Winter to Summer. However in order to get humor, you might have to exaggerate a little. Thanks my friend for the awesome review and comments!

I would go for Hawaii or maybe the Bahamas. We did seem to miss Spring.
    You are most kindly welcome.

Where on earth do you live? Is this true? I really enjoyed reading your poem, and can't help thinking how awful it would be to have winter travelling through the spring! This is a great contest entry, you've certainly given a fun account of what it's like for you . Well done and good luck! :)) Sandra xx

Thanks Sandra! Lol, I'm from MN, and I exaggerated a little about my hatred for winter, but it's just my style to use humor to take on unpleasant things. However, I didn't exaggerate about how Winter can linger, sometimes from late October until May. In fact we didn't get Spring this year. In Jan & Feb, it's nothing to see minus 50 degrees, without windchills. So it might be hard to understand that we are looking at a week of 100+ temps. ....Lol, I must sound like the Farmers Almanac! Thanks my dear friend for the fun review!

I often wondered the seasons never take any notice of man's clock, they always hang on a little bit longer than they should, winter keeps its clammy hands, interfering with spring, spring rains drift into summer. Beautifully written my friend as a classic ballad, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

Thanks Roy, you are such an optimist. And I normally am, but was in the mood to have a little fun with the prompt. I don't really hate Winter as I am always in awe of all that God has blessed with us. However ask me again next January when it's -40 degrees, then I maybe itching for Spring again. Thanks my friend for the awesome review!

An excellent poem for this contest, good luck. I really like the way you start a new verse with optimism only to be disappointed. Down here in Texas, that is not a problem, but it is 107 every day this week. Good work, Terry.

Great rhyming, flows smoothly; and is a great entry for the Spring contest. You have covered all the seasons very well and shown that spring is the one you like the most.

Aw, that was a lovely read. But to still have snow in May!! Yikes, I wouldn't like that at all.
This is a wonderful poem for the contest. I liked it a lot. All the best of luck. Ulla:)))

I find your humor exposed, and I hope that is all. I know Jack Frost has no clothes, but was he made with adoring nuggets. Still, I feel for the poor fellow, for what had he to do with it. Where do you live? Canada, Minnesota?

Hahahehe! Tom, sometimes we just have to do, what we have to do!
And besides those adoring nuggets wouldn't have been so bad if they were gold, not white. I live in MN, but there are times I wished I lived in the Carolina's instead. That last line was a little over the top for me, but I think I got my point across. : ). Thanks my friend for the awesome review and comments. You always crack me up. Which was as welcome as a beautiful Spring day!

Lol, I did it again. Sometimes I don't explain myself real well. I meant my last line of my poem was a little over the top for me. Your review was perfect, however I think you might need a little trim.

I don't think I could live through an extensive season like that without going mad. Perhaps if it's all you know, it's easier to cope.

On the other hand, living in a hot climate as I do, takes its own toll. You did a splendid job with this poem. It captivated me from beginning to end. Regards, Lilly

Humor has always been my way of coping with life. I live in Texas - the brutal heat started a month ago. To quote the wicked witch from 'Wizard of Oz' I'm melting, I'm melting!
