This is a great continuation of your novel, John.
I enjoyed reading it, though it was poignant. It
was interesting to have all the main characters
come together--very intense. Your words were
descriptive. I could see everything as I read. The
appearance of the transformation of Owen into
a devil, or the Devil, was handled well. I like this
as a cliff hanger and look forward to more at a later date.
Respectfully, Jan

well written. Good work.
But... What happened to the gun and silencer?
He raised the .45cal silencer - this is not a threat since a silencer alone is harmless.
Best wishes.

Hello, Wayne. I would have never thought (.45cal silencer) a reportable critique, but now that you point it out to me, it makes sense. I thank you for your attentiveness to detail. You're always helpful. Best, JohnC.

Whatever you choose to do in future, you must return to this compelling story. It is far to filled with possibilities to be abandoned. While I will continue to read and review other works, some by you even, there will remain a portion of my brain that will be seeking the next development in this story. You simply must turn your attention back to this story and complete it.

Thank you, nomi. I will be returning to this story quite soon, and I thank you for following it to the end/ END. Always a pleasure to
    your reviews, my friend.

I apologize if I came across in a demanding manner. You of course have free will to do whatever you choose to do. I would be very upset if you chose to abandon this project as I am heavily invested in it at this time.

This work has reached the exceptional level

This chapter though the end (not) really had me engrossed, the descriptive words "guttural, un-earthy, down to ambient, and the (to me) twist, hope your blip-blip-recovers soon my friend, an excellent read****kahpot

Yes, you left us on a cliff-hanger, but I have the feeling that you will come back to this story, there is something compelling about the eternal battle between good and evil.
You painted a great word picture of the demon, either very high in Satan's echelon, or Satan himself?
Good inspiration bringing the spirit of Claudia back to confront the beast, otherwise, the situation was hopeless.
Will watch for your future efforts!

Thank you, Irish! I'm so happy you're following, and yes, I will return to this. It's been fun to write as I'm a bit DARK anyway, lol. Thank you again, my friend.

Say it ain't so, John. Don't drop this story at this point. It's not over. I can imagine more surreal chapters and posts to come. Keep it going, brother. Good job.

Thank you, Shirley, for the kind words. I'm taking a small break to wrap up some (life spills), and then I'm going to get right back in. Thank you, my friend.

I sure hope your membrane blip with quickly correct itself. I really like this story.

"I told you, uncle Everett - I told you this was possible." (capital 'U' needed on 'uncle')

So why don't you tell the boy you're not here to stay, sister Claudia." (capital 's' needed on 'sister')

Remi spoke up. "That's not true." (comma needed after 'up)

a placid white ora surrounded her. (aura???)

The creature's head cocked back, and an unearthly growl accompanied the deafening slams and bangs throughout the parsonage. Remi covered his ears. "Stop this! Leave us alone," he yelled. Remi charged the creature, and Everett lunged for Remi, but it was too late. The beast swung his arm, Remi was tossed over the railing, and the beast levitated him in mid-air. Remi's arms and legs flailed with trepidation as his eyes descended the forty-foot drop to the tiled floor below. A snarl shook the walls as Claudia's arm extended in the beast's direction, emitting a scorching white beam. The beast pulled his arm in to shield his face, and Remi's body tumbled a few feet before Claudia levitated him back over the railing. "I have you, son." Remi continued to flail until his feet touched the floor. (Two people speaking in one paragraph. You need a paragraph for each person speaking)

Many publishers say that the twist is the most important part of all stories; well, outside plot and characters. I was following right a long and enjoying every minute, but must admit, this ending didn't go where I thought. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, my friend, Ric. You are the last one I want to disappoint. But, this is not the end; instead, the season finale? Lol. You have to admit, and as you are one of my personal favorites at best, the hanger is unforgettable. btw congrats on your second place! I loved that story. Well deserved.

Thanks, John, I definitely wasn't disappointed, but I'm glad to know there is more to come. LOL

I truly hope you do come and finish this story!!!!! I'll be very upset with you, if you don't! I'm sure that has frightened the life out of you and inspired you to come back, Lol. This is such a great story, John, it needs a proper ending. There are too many loose ends that need tying up. And having read some of the other reviews, I'm not alone in thinking this.
I have enjoyed reading this story, it's so imaginative, and is very well written. Well done, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Hi, Sandra, you have frightened me considerably, lol. I told Ric that this is a season finale and not the end, end. I have a few things personally to wrap up and then I'm back with the devil. :) I'm happy to have your support and friendship.
