Hi Brett, this makes you wonder, doesn't it? I think there was not much love left for his father. But as you say, monsters have to feed, and why not feed on a spirit kindred. I loved it. Ulla:)))

I like the art work. It is beautiful. Although the story is short, it gives the reader a mystery to figure out. To me, Snider and Sean are buddies. Their close relationship is seen by Sean throwing the ashes into the lake.

They are father and son.
Close they are not.
Sean feeds his father's ashes to the lake monster.

True. Monsters have to eat, but they don't have to eat your father. Sean cared more about dinner being served to the monster, than he cared about the memory of his father. This story is haunting, and leaves you with an uneasy feeling. It's creative, though.

That cold. No ceremony to commemorate his passing. No thank you for remembering me in your will. Just let the monster feast. I think cold is good word to describe it, especially while looking at the picture you chose.
