We must be kindred spirits. I love horror movies and Stephen King is my favorite writer. I, also, have read all his novels. He is a good role model to follow for inspiration. I also love the The Twilight Saga.

Mysteries and poetry inspire me, along with nature and people. No matter what works inspiration gets us going. Your poem inspired me to look into other genres, I'm to set in my ways, perhaps horror would add new flavor to my writing. Well done.

Yes. I would make the font a size larger and a darker blue. Also, you don't pursue yourself.

I think Carrie is the only King novel I have yet to read! And for some reason, I have no desire to do so. BUT, King is one of my favorite writers of all times. He can make me stay up ALL night reading - even when I have to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed first thing in the morning! You have chosen a very strong writer to take your inspiration from - good choice!
I do think you might want to consider re-reading before posting. here are some of the places I found that needed some polishing

My suggestion: Take time to check your writing - I know what you are saying in your head, you just need to take the time to make sure that what you want to say is what you are actually writing/putting on the page.
You have a strong voice and you know how to draw a picture with words (one of the hardest things a real writer has to accomplish - and you show potential for being a natural at this) so keep on writing - just slow down and double-check your grammar.
I hope this helps you to become the writer that we both know you can become! Wanting for you; much success!

Horror is one of my top chosen venues as well. I would rather read or watch a spectacularly bloody and gory horror novel than I would a real-life murder drama. For the most part I know the horror story is fiction, but the real-life drama is, well, real life. And that is too real.

This free verse lets us know what your inspirations are to write novels. But, what is your inspiration for writing poetry. I enjoy fantasy books too. But horror, not so much. I have never been into blood and guts.
The first line of the second stanaza doesn't seem to fit the second.
