Hey. Here's an idea take this and forward to your local meteorologist and have them read it as a forecast when rain is nearby. Maybe... they'll get ONE forecast right. OUrs can't.

Hi Yvonne. Thanks. I heard from my Dad in Bryant that you all had a big storm. I guess it will get to Virginia in a few days... we always seem to run two days later. So glad you liked this Kyrielle.

There is a musical feel and flow to your words. You also have a vivid use of words in which the reader can see and feel the oncoming storm. "The boiling clouds can't hold the strain" is a perfect line that shows nature in action.

Wow! I can feeling the storm approaching! You always do such a spectacular job of describing rainstorms and this one is full of suspense. You used the repeated line to build that suspense from the silence to "White lances flash ~ flung from the sky;
and cracks of thunder shake on high.
The boiling clouds can't hold the strain..."

Wow! I can feeling the storm approaching! You always do such a spectacular job of describing rainstorms and this one is full of suspense. You used the repeated line to build that suspense from the silence to "White lances flash ~ flung from the sky;
and cracks of thunder shake on high.
