The shift in your story still blends right in with your general theme.
There have been instances in the deaths of my Irish family, mostly far back, when the dying saw and spoke with deceased relatives.
The intricate weaving of your story makes it all the more interesting but still keeps it close to real life.
Excellent dialogue, very believable.
I think that 'Men of the Cloth' are challenged often in their role as the receivers of confessions, advisors, resolvers, and determiners of debt for sin.
Very good chapter.

Thank you, Irish, my friend. Your reviews are continuously validating my hesitations. Take good care!

I'm so invested in your story now I'm thrilled there is this altogether unexpected question -- and moral/spiritual dilemma for "Father Everett"
to work out. My mind is spinning off in many directions! Your change in category to "Fantasy Fiction" is tantalizing. What is coming next? I hope this is one of those ecstatic moments when characters begin to step before the writer and light the path ahead! No finer feeling than that! Great continuation. I'm out of sixes. (SHOCKER!) -- YOU are not out of six-star worthy posts!

Just when I thought this might be the end of the story, with Thaddeus' death, but now you've introduced new information, a new mystery. Very well done, John. I look forward to the continuation.

Thank you, Judy, for your review and comments. They are always appreciated. I wish I knew where it was going, lol. The characters will have to lead the way. Thank you again, my friend.

You're most welcome, John. I understand how you feel. It was the same when I was writing my novel.

I feel better now that you said that, and I know it will come, but right now, I'm as blank as a washed blackboard, lol.

I found that things came to me better while I wasn't trying to think about it, but carried on with mundane chores. :)
