I really enjoy your humor. Many people today seem to have lost theirs.
Of course, with all the negative things that are happening, it's difficult to keep an upbeat sense of humor. Very good, Debi.

Wow Willie! You are so kind and I thank you for your very generous six stars and lovely review! I appreciate your lovely comments about my poem, as I usually like to write with humor with a little twist at the end. It keeps me smiling and that's definitely more fun than sadness and gloom. So thank you again my friend! God Bless you!

Hello Debi,
This is a marvelous fun poem with the rhyming couplets
and a lot less calories than chicken or pork cutlets.
Love the matching picture, proving pigs do fly
probably trying to escape from getting put in a pork pie.
Excellent rhymes choices, a smorgasbord can't be beat
when you mention nearly everything I like to eat.
Well done.
Best wishes.

Thanks Robert, that last line would have been an excellent addition to my poem! I actually quit smoking right before New Years 2020, as I told myself this time I was going to make it. Well I put 25 lbs on but got it off before the end of 2021. And still smoke free! But what a horrible year to do it!
Thanks again Robert for the fun review. Lol, my husband marinated pork cutlets to put on the smoker grill tomorrow, as I still love my pork! : )

I like your two line verses with a smooth flow of words and your subject of over eating is relevant in today's world. One of the negatives of staying home during the Covid crisis was probably overeating. I think we eat less when we go to work. i like how you describe the various reasons for overeating, boredom and watching television more. I do not like dry popcorn either.

You my friend, just perked me up with your fun comments, as I needed a smile and there it was, while reading your review. I think it will get me through the weekend. You were the first person who seemed to catch the part of my poem that said eating dry popcorn while talking makes me stutter.
You are always so kind and I truly appreciate your lovely review. Thank you again my friend!

Hahahahahahaha!!!! Ok now that is hilarious! I never heard that one before about the pig flying in the plane. Lobber you are becoming my new best friend, as I didn't think you could top your last review of my lottery poem, but now you have me also flying high with these beautiful six stars and comments and the hilarious read of a real flying pig. I am guessing you are from the UK, is that right, or are you here in the states? I just noticed that the web sight was based in that area. Thank you once again my friend, and I will not soon forget your kindness or your sense of humor, so now more than ever, I hope there are more of you running around. Thank you once again my awesome friend!!!!!

Hilarious, Debi! This is so cute! I'm sorry your eating habits are all out of whack. You aren't the only one, lol. This is well written, and it flowed quite nicely across the screen to the fridge. :)

Thanks John, yes this was a hard time as I quit smoking right before New Years and was bound and determined this time I would make it. By the time covid hit, I was aware that my tastebuds were back, and although the poem was slightly exaggerated for entertainment sake, it was tough. I gained 25 lbs, but was able to get it off by the end of 2021. And still smoke free!!!
Thank you my dear friend for your kind words and good review. You are always appreciated!

I'm happy for both of your losses, my friend.

Thank you so much Bridge, and I so appreciate your kind words and lovely review. It wasn't the best year to quit smoking right before New Years, but I made it through, put on 25 lbs but got them off again and now two and a half years smoke free. Thanks again my dear friend!

Temptations abound and are so hard to resist, especially in these times of social isolation. I have sometimes resorted to dieting, but the day it has any real effect is defined in your picture. Pigs might fly!

Hahahaha! You are funny my friend. By now, you know that my poetry is lighthearted and I try to keep it fun. But your comment was awesome, because I wasn't sure if anyone else got the relevance to the pig in the clouds, and my comment about when pigs fly. Also not sure if that is a term known world wide, or in the states or just MN. ...This was truly a hard time for me, as I had quit smoking right before New Years 2020, and determined this would be the last time. Well I not only got all my tastebuds back, I got a unhealthy dose of covid restrictions. And with an immune disease called Lupus. I couldn't be around anyone even outside within 20 feet. Long story short, it really hit me hard, put 25 lbs on and had it off again by end of 2021. So as much as my story was a little exaggerated to make it more fun, I found out through all the reviews how many people it really affected. Sorry for rambling on, but I truly appreciate you kind review and comments my friend!

Quarantine munchies are real. Though, I've always had an on and off problem with eating my feelings. I love the humorous tone to a heavy (pun not-intended) subject.

Excellent. Great work. The rhyming is very good.
And the cloud indeed looks like bacon. It's BACON!!!
It's a wonder that a lot of people didn't pick smoking back up. Makes me glad they are $5-8 a pack.
Best wishes.

Wayne, I'm not real proud of this because it took so long to get it right, but Dec 28, 2019, I finally decided once and for all, I would kick that habit. It should have been easy, for all the practice I had,, but it's truly been hard. But not sure I would have if I had known Covid was coming. But with three months behind me, I wasn't about to start again. So with these tastebuds that I forgot I had, I gained 25 lbs. I did get them off by the end of 2021 tho. And when I quit two and a half yrs ago, they were $120. a carton. I'm thankful to have this new addiction here with you and my other friends. : ). And yes, I thought about adding bacon in the poem somewhere as I could eat that anytime! . And speaking of bacon, I was wondering if anyone got the phrase I used, when pigs fly? Thank you Wayne for such an awesome review and fun comments!
