Hello Michael,
This is an excellent poem with marvelous imagery.
Observation is usually the key to writer's block; the smallest eddy often
produces the brightest spark.
Tight focus on subject, nice use of meter, rhyme and enjambment.

This poem makes my day! It is my favorite of the day. For it is clean, clear, focused, and inspirational. It describes a scene that the author found an inspiration by way of not giving up and keeping on trying with open spirit. The thoughts then flow and cascades of words just follow. That is how I understand the poem. Very inspirational. Writers just have to keep trying.
