A very cute poem and picture. Nice to know how much you appreciate mom even though she makes mistake. Or maybe your the mom? Regardless it's a great job and I wish you you all the best in the contest!

I am not a mom myself and my own mother has been dead for over 50 years, so this poem is just an imaginary one, but written in homage to mothers everywhere who try hard for their families.

At least your mother tried. And that is what matters the most. It is hard telling your mother her dessert tastes terrible. Especially when you are grown. Thank you for sharing this poem that has happened to many of us. Have a great day, and Easter.

It wasn't that the dessert tasted terrible, it just looked a mess. We were always grateful to have any sort of dessert.
Thanks for reviewing. Happy Easter!

You are welcome.

The objective correlative of your work reminisces culinary activities effected with overt defects; but lovingly carried out to the end by the baker.
The work earns its texture through its effective use of alliterations, assonance and onomatopoeia.
Excellent work. Bravo.
