Hi Debra,
I never had any luck with ten syllables in a single line, so gave up on sonnets years ago. But nothing's too hard for you, eh?
When I look at your chosen artwork, I don't think of the Sun rising. I see it sinking into the ocean, and I'm on a raft of survivors after our ship has sunk. Color gradually disappears the lower the Sun goes. There are just miles and miles of dizzy waves. Maybe I'm a glass half-empty guy, and you are the glass half-full girl. Colors are waking in your poem, as the Sun rises up out of the ocean. You're looking east. I'm looking west.
Nicely penned!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Great write! I just read Gloria--seems and made note of this form I'd love to try, of the muse will humor me...
Your language harkens back to a Shakespearean period, and further enhances your flawless meter.
Take a bow! Bravo!

So very pretty Miss Debra!
I love the words, I had never
heard of 'blue hour.'
A magical time!
Like the colors on black also.
Blessings...

Brava, Debra! You celebrate sunrise with the aplomb of a maestro conducting a choir of stirring words. Thank you for teaching me about the blue hour. I've only observed this at sunset. But perhaps that's because I'm not up in time to drink in the beauty of dawn.
Stay safe and blessed,
Hugs Julia

I'm rarely up to see the sunrise...it's usually because I can't sleep, not through choice!
Best wishes as always, Debra x
Comment from Gloria ....
I am so happy you have used the sonnetino form. You have written a lovely one and the colours shining through the black and white bring this poetic right to life.
A most enjoyable read today.

I think the most mystical times of the day are the early morning, and the evening, or the twilight, they conjure up wonderful imagery, this is beautifully put together, my friend Debra, well done, blessings Roy

I enjoyed this form, too! I am glad you are using it! Thanks for introducing me to the term "blue hour" which fits so nicely with twilight which can be dusk or dawn. Loved your colorful celebration of sunrise!
