I read your author's notes and can see that you had fun writing this. The poem does seem more in the interest of children. I can see kids have fun reciting this. Nice attempt with a Dr. Seuss model.

You are so very sweet and I thank you for your kind words and lovely comment about kids, as it is something fun that I did with all of my grandchildren, rhyming about everything we said and then got the giggles.
Kids are so precious to me, so maybe I will try this again, next time they have a contest asking for kids poems. And thank you again my friend, for the wonderful review.

I love it, it's actually very funny and put a smile on my face. But it also shows that life for the old couple is not as easy as it used to be. Oh dear. Good luck with this fun and well written poem. Ulla:)))

Ulla, you are so very sweet, and I appreciate your kind review and encouragement. It was a lot of fun to write, and since Dr Seuss is my favorite author of all time, I just had to try one of his style. Thank you again!

Like your poem. I liked Dr. Seuss, too. Your poem is seriously hilarious. The old lady tries to hold her sneezes. Evidently, she did not have a Kleenex, so she could blow her nostril. But she didn't drop her Reese's!

Rosemary, if you got any sweeter, you might be a Reeses. Lol
I know the poem was silly, but that is my favorite kind, as I need to laugh & smile when I'm writing. It maybe the healthiest thing we can do with each other. So thank you very much, my dear friend, as I truly appreciate your kind words, and being silly right along with me.

I enjoyed your well written and entertaining poem in mono-rhyme. Those sneezes got the better of her and her squeezed peaches... but I don't know what 'Reeses' refers to. Is it some American thing? Are they incontinence underpants?

Thank you Lisa, and I apologize for assuming that everyone would know about Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. They are One of America's. favorite candy and to call them Reese's, is equivalent to calling Coca Cola a
Coke. But I thank you so much for your very kind review.

old age creeps up on you...and it's
not always safe to sneeze to much...
at least when your out on the town...

but I'm so happy she could save the Reeses...
I love your poem...and love the rhythm and the rhyme...
very well written...and the perfect picture...love Linda xxoo

You're so cute! And Sweet! There is just something about Dr Seuss that I have always loved, so it was worth a try. We'll see after the voting is done tonight and tomorrow. But regardless how that goes, I can't thank you for enough for your kind words!

That's a fine example of single rhyme... I've tried that style and it's difficult. You worked in the sly humour and misdirection... I'm assuming Reeses are sweets?
