Thanks for sharing these uplifting lyrics, linked with prose detailing their importance and impact in your life.
Jesus is our rock and it is always interesting to see how other poets/lyricists describe their connection with him.
(When I was on an arduous motorbike trip in Central Australia many years ago, at times of difficulty I found myself singing hymns to myself in my motorbike helmet. I hadn't been to church for years but somehow those Sunday School hymns bubbled to the surface to reassure and strengthen me.)

Thanks so much for reviewing. (That was the fifteenth so it is recognised!) Yes, I find at stressful times in particular that Christian hymns and songs are very important and meaningful, and the ones we learned at a young age are never forgotten. Some modern hymns are more difficult to remember, but I found that the ones I chose tend to stick in my head - probably why I like them. Thanks again.

Oh yes indeed, one cannot truly look at the Lord , and not be grateful, and in gratitude give glory to him for His selflessness and deserving nature, although Easter was originally a pagan festival it's still a great Time to reflect and not neglect, His glorious sacrifice, well done, blessings Roy

Thank you Paul for reviewing. You are a poet and you like rhyme, and many prefer rhymes and regular metre in songs as that makes it easier to sing. If you wrote the lyrics maybe he could set it to music.

Hymns have been a stronghold for my faith as well. One grammar note: For 'Jesus and His story,' the verb would be 'are.'

The thing that pulled me back into church was the music. I'm the type where if I'm not a fan of the music they play I'll just walk out. It may be unfair but they have to have good music. You did a great job with this.
