This is just delightful, Debra. I suppose one could look for a deep interpretation. But I'm taking it at face value as the pronouncement of a nearsighted penguin who's just got his first pair of glasses. I had a similar epiphany gazing at the sky through my first pair of specs!

So cute! I only can see the penguin on the rock. The bowling ball has a penguin on it and maybe a hand holding it. I liked the title which grabs our attention to look for a different perspective!

The structure of this poem is so smooth it's a delight to read. And of course it is a valid comparison that Gruyere cheese with its holes would be indistinguishable from a bowling ball. Much enjoyed. Kate xx
