I found this writing to be very well written.
I loved your free-versed slant rhyming, and your desire for unity and peace really shines through.
Best of luck in the contest!
Blessings,
Brother Badger

Your picture is beautiful, your words are well thought out, and your message is clear, Laura. Your words are descriptive and straight from your heart. I pray this along with you.
Best wishes in the contest.
Respectfully, Jan

Author,
Your poem is an excellent lament for peace. Hope springs eternal with spring, so maybe its warmth, along with many prayers, will bring peace to the world.
I like your photo and neon background.
Best wishes,
Good luck,
Cindy

Winter is usually a hard season for me so this captures the feelings of longing for spring perfectly. The metaphor of winter into a more hopeful spring is an apt metaphor for what's going on in the world nowadays.

powerful poem about life these days and what it all means in the end. I share your dismay for how things have been going and your fear that a war may spread beyond Ukraine.

Laura, this is absolutely beautiful! I live in MN, so between Covid, war & the gloom of a very long winters, I feel as you do. However, as you stated, Spring brings a renewal to all nature & we welcome God's beauty of Spring again. Thank you again for your breathtaking piece, Februarys Winds of Change!

I wish the same for our world, and do my best to help where I can, when I can. I had a wonderful partner for 46 years of marriage, and then I lost him. He gave me the strength to help others. Without him, I am less than half of who we were together. I pray you and yours are able to remain together.

Thank you so much for your review, I am so very sorry about your loss, if we live long enough we all go through this horrible grief. When the person is everything to you it must be unbearable. I hope your faith and memories give you strength. much love and prayers, Laura

A nicely done commentary on our times. The poem uses good metaphors which liken other things to the troubling times. During out present times of uncertainty, I do hope that a new "Spring" will emerge.

"I pray hearts will melt with the sun" that was a wonderful line. Overall, a beautifully written poem. Yes, even with what is going on in Ukraine, I wish that "hearts will melt" and be filled with compassion. A wonderful poem. Good job.
