This was very beautiful, I could feel the love and special times treasured by the writer in every word and phrase, you were fortunate to have had someone special in your life.

Wow, thank you for digging deep! This was also an event in my early life when I was still learning that you ladies, when girls, are way ahead of us blundering elephants, having a preordained knowledge of Life and what to do, where, and when. This beautiful, intelligent, passionate young lady took her own life at just nineteen.
I wrote the poem as a memorial.

What a beautiful piece of poetry. Your words glide and your thoughts hover over a perhaps nostalgic place. Not a place of rendezvous, but rather a place for you to ponder memories. You are a talent my friend! Please start posting.

Wow, thank you, John, for the encouraging comments, and all the stars! I am humbled. I am extremely fortunate to have a muse (One of my Irish ancestors, perhaps?) that gives me inspiration.
Trying to get more time to write and post.
Thanks again, irish

What a lovely, poignant, very traditional rendering of an eternal poetic topic. The words flow and carry the theme in gentle cadence. And,ofcoure, the photo is lovely.

Hi, Nancy, I am humbled. Thank you for reading, your encouraging comments, and that galaxy of stars! I think most poets have suffered a heartbreak or two, maybe that's what makes us poets.
Thank you again, I am awed.

Like all Irish poets, you have an ear for the music of language. I think the rhythm and alliteration and the patterns of the words were woven with great care. It had a wonderful romantic tone to it, and it sort of reminded me of Poe. This was really right up his alley. The images were wonderful too, all these colorful moments of galleons racing in the clouds, speaking of fleeting moments of love. The mysterious shadows of the mysterious woods. I could hear some Yeats in there too. Nice job with this one. estory

Wow, I am humbled! Thank you for reading, your in-depth review, and the galaxy of stars! I wrote and tweaked, deleted and added, finally sent the poem to a talented friend, who helped me straighten out the lines before I tweaked and ruined the whole thing.
Thank you again, I am awed.

This is a wonderful tribute to what appears to be the love of your life. It's beautifully written you walked aimlessly through the woods looking for something that once was.
A beautiful rhyming poem this is. I was very taken with it. Ulla:)))

Wow, I am humbled at that galaxy of stars! I offer my condolences for the loss of your Dad, I know from my loss that losing your Dad leaves a hole nothing can fill. By coincidence, I have a giant Willow tree in my back yard, my favorite tree!

Such bitter-sweet memories. This is a lovely reminiscing poem full of beauty, love and longing. I really enjoyed reading it.
I stumble on that shady hollow,
where our hearts merged sweet together.
The begging carpet, soft and fragrant,
verdant grass and blooming heather.
Beautiful. PM

Excellent poem, in my humble opinion. Though I am not a poet, and hardly qualified to make an assessment, I like it. The rhythm was nice and the rhyming natural, not forced. Very well done.
Best wishes.

Hi, Wayne, thank you for reading, your encouraging comments, and all the stars! And hey, I am not a poet either, just have a super muse who gives me inspirations in dreams, and then bugs me until I write them out.
Cheers, irish
