"With thanksgiving in the morning do I wake
To praise my God for all that He has given
This airy room wherein my rest I take
Is home to me, my little piece of Heaven"
I love your description of your home, sounds like a lovely place to live.

Dear Anne, Thank you for your review and the five stars. This room is one in a refurbished house where I was a volunteer. It was so peaceful and serene in that room, I loved to be in there, folding linen or putting things away in the cupboards and drawers. I wold love to have lived in that house, but it was pulled down in 2010 and a new house built on the block.

Dear Iza, Thank you for your review and the five stars. This was a room I became acquainted with during a stint as a volunteer at a refurbished 19th century house. It was so lovely, so peaceful, that I
would use any excuse to go in there and sit by the window looking out through the branches of the almond tree outside. Memories, memories.

It's wonderful to be able to go to your room and rest in the comfort of your bed, author. Instead of an apartment where you can rest but it is not yours. Home sweet home or there is no place like home. This is a good entry for the House Poem Contest. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, this room was one I got to know during my time as a volunteer at a refurbished 19th Century house. It had such an aura of peace and tranquillity that I would use any excuse to go in and sit by the window. There was an almond tree outside which blossomed in Winter. So lovely to look out into the midst of the tree in full bloom
I loved that room. Still do. Always will.
